We have a credit with Expedia that we have to use before May 30..... so of course we want to go to DisneyLand!!

We've just been on holiday to Hawaii, so we can't take off again before Christmas.....:santa:

We normally visit DL in late October/ early November when crowds are low.
We did go the beginning of March once...and it was total madness.....the cast members telling us it was a record setting week....on the saturday we couldnt move from land to land as the crowd just pushed u around. Not want to do that again!!

So as it is not our usual time of year....would like to hear when Crowds are the lowest between Jan and May???

Thank you!!

If you are forced to go later let this help guide you When is you Spring Break?

Before this, after Christmas break end it's all very slow except for two holiday weekends, Jan 15th-17 and Feb 19th- 21st. But during January and February you trade off some rehabs, short hours, and limited entertainment for low crowds.

Though January and February will have lower crowds, it'll also have more refurbs (Splash is on refurb Jan-May) and worse weather. I'd go in May. Little Mermaid and the new Star Tours are supposed to open up mid-May. However, that's not guaranteed.

I was there at the end of April this year and the crowds were very minimal. It was a great time to be there and we're planning to go back around the same time in 2011.

Just keep in mind Easter is late next year - April 24th. Easter is a busy week because of kids being out of school.

If your biggest priority is low crowds, early May - mid-May or the dates mentioned in Jan/Feb, mid-week, are your best bets.

We will always choose low crowds over extended hours, fireworks, etc. We take our chances with rides being on rehab, but we know the trade-off is being able to ride all the open rides with minimal waits.

May is our favorite time of the whole year to go, but do like going in Jan also.

But if you want the longer hours and all the extra things, you could have your trip extend over a weekend, just avoid the holidays mentioned by a PP and Spring Break (there is a thread where people have listed their Spring breaks to get an idea).

Remember Jan, Feb and March can rain. We're afraid of the rain, so we've cancelled a few trips during those months. Most people here though will say just bring ponchos and a change of shoes.

Ditto amamax2. If you go mid-week in early to mid-May you're good to go so far as crowds go. We went 1st week of May 2009. Crowds were not as low as 1st week of Nov but only marginally more crowded.

We went to WDW in mid-May last year and it was great. We are going to do the same for DLR this year. I'm thinking 5/14-24 cuz I don't want to be there during Memorial Day. It's either that or 5/7-17, but that means losing tuition money haha.
