It's time (albeit a little early) - I'm Spring cleaning! After almost 8 years of us living with my FIL, I've finally decided to start decluttering our stuff inthe basement (plus I've got the time). I've got a lot of boxes for our recycling day on Wednesday and have filled up 10 garbage bags. I have about 10 more garbage bags filled up with items to donate to Savers (Big Brother & Big Sisters).

The items that I'm donating are mostly DS8's old baby clothes and baby items that were never opened and are completely sealed. I've kept a few items since DH and I want to add to our family, but the majority are getting donated.

It feels so good to FINALLY go through all of our "junk" and get rid of it! Now the next step is to go through our shed which is more for storage than anything else. The snow from December finally melted a few weeks ago. Now I just need the weather to cooperate for at least 2-3 days so I can pull everything out and go through it

Anyone else Spring cleaning around the house yet?

I cleaned out my closet Saturday night and got 3 bags of clothes for Goodwill. I also trimmed up the bushes out front and started to pull the dead weeds out of the flower bed.

I have taken down all the window treatments and washed them. We have also gotten the big ladder out to clean the air vents on our cathedral ceilings. And of course, pulled all the furniture to the middle of room to vacuum and dust.

I need to do some decluttering soon but for now I want to get a good deep clean.

I am ALMOST ready to start spring cleaning and decluttering...the snow is just about gone and I'm feeling ready to discard the mess.

Well, the town picked up all of our cardboard today for recycling as well as a few brown bags of old magazines. Phew! I can't believe how much went out.

I still can't get to our shed yet. The weather forcast for my area is rain for the next day or so and again for next week :headache: I'm wondering if I'll ever be able to get to it and clean it out. I really don't want to start carting things into the house one at a time in order to go through it.

We're de-cluttering to move. It's a huge task! I've started packing, even though we're not on the market yet. But, you have to "stage" these days. Thanks to HDTV, everyone expects "model home" conditions.
