Am I out of my mind for choosing March 18-25 to go to the world? With grandkids older, that is the only time they could go since they will not miss school now. Will it be extrememly crowed? Surley not as bad as the summer months!!
Our schools are closed the week of April 2nd, and my understanding is that most Spring Breaks are the week of April 9th or April 16th.
Easter Sunday is April 16th.
The week of March should not be Spring Break, as far as I can tell.
I just found out our schools are closed that 1st week of April and decided to use DVC points to book a trip. I called to check and at this point all DVC resorts are pretty wide open as far as rooms. I will call back in September at my 7 month mark to check again and if there is still plenty of availablity, I will wait till we visit the resorts in Sept to decide which one we will stay at.
Our family has traveled to WDW for the past two years during Spring Break, which is in early March in Pennsylvania. I would say the crowds during March are bearable compared to those in summer. It is more crowded on the weekends, but with fast passes you won't have a lot of waiting to do.
It is usually a good time to go because the weather is nice (only rained once during our two trips) and not very hot! You also don't have to worry about hurricanes in March!

We went nearly the same days this year, and, yes it was crowded, but with a plan and hitting the parks early, we found it to be a lovely time. You might experience slightly smaller crowds because Easter isn't that week in '06, but most schools' breaks are the same every year, regardless of Easter.
The weather was much nicer than summer, so for that alone, it's better.
Disney Obssevive, April 12th is Easter I think and that is a crowded time!!! The reason I asked was because when I was looking at the moderates, both COR and CB were full according to the internet. When I called for POFQ, the travel agent said she could still get me in CB but I stayed with POFQ because of all the good things I've heard on these boards. We do not like July because of the crowds or weather so at least this time the weather should be better!! We'll find out about the crowds!!
I've been twice over my spring breaks (back when I had a spring break ) -- both trips were mid to late March. Crowds were worse than off-season, but nothing like July/August. Overall, it was very manageable.
I was there perhaps a week earlier than that this year (3-11 to 3-13, I think) and the only time it really felt crowded was the afternoon of the second day at MK. If you get to the parks early, it's a breeze to hit all the biggies, and we had no trouble getting PSs to Chef Mickey's, Boma and Biergarten.
