Just booked 4 days during Spring Break. How worried should I be about crowds? We are staying at RPR, so we will have express passes.

It depends on when your Spring Break is. Fortunately, they are spread throughout the month of March and sometimes in to April, so it isn't like Thanksgiving or Christmas where everyone pretty much has the same time off. If my memory serves me correctly, March crowds start off moderate and get heavier as the month goes on, culminating in very heavy crowds around Easter.

I've never been to Universal at spring break, but recently hit some of the Disney Parks a late week in March that wasn't Easter, and OMG Disney has just gotten so crowded and popular during that time, more so that I remember in the past. For 2015 we decided to go to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico rather than Orlando. I think though we are looking at Orlando again Spring Break of 2016 and given Disney crowds I decided I wouldn't want to do Universal (given how popular the new Diagon Alley is and what a draw it is) without that early entry and express pass. That makes me think your decision to stay onsite is a good one. I know for 2016 we're planning one night at one of the Universal hotels to get these same things for our one day park to park pass and then thought we'd make it a SeaWorld vacation -- doing one of the Discovery Cove packages -- moving to the Marriott Residence Inn by SeaWorld with a day at the SeaWorld park, a day at Discovery Cove, a morning at Aquatica (their waterpark) with a second partial day at SeaWorld. // lol just not really up this time do to Disney at this popular time and would only consider Universal with the early entry and express pass. // We were at Universal on a crowd level three day this past December - it was the week before Christmas week when crowds were moderate and with the exception of Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade it actually didn't seem crowded at all, but the HP areas were packed with people. I would seriously use your early entry in those areas over spring break too if you'd like to see that part without a mob. Have fun. I was really and truly impressed with these new Universal areas, and that's coming from someone who is not a huge Harry Potter fan.

Since the OP is in Austin, then it's probably 3/14-3/21. Almost everyone in Austin gets the same Spring Break dates, because it coincides with the SXSW music/film/media events.

I am curious too, since we will be there as well and staying at RPR. I was assuming pretty busy, since WDW will be at 6-9 crowd levels.
