Spring break up in the air-again!

With hurricane Sandy having hit us, the school principal advised they are looking at canceling Spring Break again this year to make up for the week lost without power.

Same thing happened last year with a hurricane in August and an early October snowstorm resulting in losing two weeks of school.

So our spring break vacation at BCV is up in the air again. We also lost power for 7days and phones and Internet for 12 days. But others had it much worse. My sis in law lost her car in Long Island to a 100year oak tree and found out this morning someone stole the car out from under the tree . It was crushed so why in the world....

Anyway, who else is looking at changing Spring Break vacation and what are you considering?

I'm from Long Island and our school was closed for a week.

I'm hoping that we have a mild winter and no snow days are used to make it up.

If not, then I actually would prefer they cancel the spring break, my disney reservation are for the winter break.

If they do cancel the winter one, we're going anyway, DD will have to make up the work.

Our district has already taken the first three days of our Spring break to make up for sandy days as well as one of our Thanksgiving holiday days. I had to request a personal day since we leave in 7 days! I also just cancelled our ressies for all restaurants and AKV Value room last night for our spring break. We will add on a few nights to our summer stay before our Fantasy cruise with those points!
