DH wants to book a spring break vacation for 2022 someplace warm since we will be doing Alaska in August. We really want to experience the ship for Rapunzel. What will a 5n be like the week before Easter? Overloaded on kids? Pros/Cons? Itinerary is Key West, Nassau, and Castaway Cay.

We did that itinerary on the Magic over spring break a few years ago. It was great fun. I wouldn't say that it was any more crowded than the summer cruise we did on the Dream. We did go to the beach in Fort Lauderdale the day we got off the cruise and THAT was crowded.

Yes, there will be a lot of kids. I'll also add you shouldn't count on Key West, as, currently, large cruise ships are not allowed there following several ballot measures passing in the last election banning them.

this is disney isnt all sailings full of kids?
No, often the longer cruises (Panama Canal, Trans Atlantic, Hawaii) have substantially fewer kids. Our PC cruise had under 100 kids on it.

im impressed LOL ok i am shocked at that but i understand the longer cruises tend to have less kids

We went on a spring break cruise on the magic in 2019. One and done for us. No loungers to be had on sea days. If you were lucky enough to find one, it was a constant stream of people walking by looking for one, and kids running to the sports area. And the adult only area was smaller than the one on the fantasy and always full.

Others may love this - we didn’t. We will stick to the fantasy and deck 13.

Really I felt like this was an issue across the board. We found the pools on the Fantasy to be kid soup but did other things like character meet and greets or midship detective

Tangled is the best show on any of the ships! And on the day they do that show the whole ship has Tangled activities including a makeover of the pub into the Snuggly Duckling and a Thug scavenger hunt around the ship. A big advantage to the classic ships during a busy cruise time is that the smaller number of passengers lead to a better experience on Castaway Cay.
