The party goers: myself and my friend S
Dates: March 4-11 (6 day tickets; no PH; QSDP)
Hotel: Pop Century

Backstory: S and I are part of a larger group that were in the same organization at different colleges at different times. We met about 13 years ago at a national conference. There is a subset of the larger group that gets together every year over MLK weekend to hang out. S and I both are part of that smaller group. In 2011, that group traveled to WDW in celebration of the 25th anniversary of this small group gathering. There were 9 of us that stayed at BLT for that trip. During that trip S & I started talking about coming back for a longer trip at some point. I don't think either of us counted on it taking 6 years to make it happen. I was in a messy job situation for a while and had decided that once it resolved itself I was going to plan a real vacation. Of course, WDW was at the top of the list of desired locations.

Fast forward to last November when my job situation finally straightened out. It took me having to work through spring break being bored out of my mind after the first 2.5 days to decide that it was time to get started planning this vacation. It took some time to get sorted out because of S's vacation schedule, but in September we finally booked. A former coworker of mine is a Disney travel agent on the side so we booked through her (and she managed to score us free dining as well).

So we're heading to Disney! We've got ADRs booked for BOG, Sci Fi Dine In Theater, Chef Mickey's and Tusker House (will only keep 1 character meal; still deciding which one). I'm still working on our park day schedule and potential FPs.

S and I got together last weekend to finalize our plans and we're both happy with what's on tap.

Arrival day: I get in around 10 and she gets in around 11. Our plan is to go to Epcot after checking in. We have FPs booked for Spaceship Earth, Living with the Land, and FEA. I think we're going to try to hit up Test Track during EMH.

Day 2: Hollywood Studios. We have lunch scheduled at Sci-Fi and FPs with Indiana Jones, Toy Story Mania, and Star Tours. It's also a Star Wars fireworks night so I'm pumped about that!

Day 3: Animal Kingdom. We have FPs scheduled at Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safaris, and Festival of the Lion King.

Day 4: Rest day/Disney Springs. We have a late breakfast scheduled at Chef Mickeys and that's it.

Day 5: Magic Kingdom. We have a PPO breakfast schedule at BOG and our FPs are for Peter Pan, Under the Sea, and Space Mountain. (We're hoping to get done with breakfast early enough to hit 7DMT before the standby lane gets insane). Our plan is to spend the majority of our day in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland.

Day 6: NOTHING. We're tossing around the idea of going to the park-that-shall-not-be-named or adding another day onto our park tickets.

Day 7: Magic Kingdom. We have FPs scheduled at POTC, BTMRR, and 7DMTR. We plan to spend most of the day in Adventureland, Frontierland, and Liberty Square, but obviously with the 7DMTR FP we'll need to hop back over to Fantasyland.

Departure Day: Epcot. We have late flights scheduled so we'll be getting to the park early. We have FPs schedule at Soarin, Journey into Imagination, and The Seas with Nemo.
