The dates vary from province to province and school board to school board, but most schools in Canada have "March Break". Our school has the break during the week of March 3rd.

Looking like the first of March might not be as bad as I thought. In past it seemed like all schools in Texas has same break. I have heard from a few that breaks are all over the calendar in March.

Early March is more of a time for college spring breaks. Florida has some of the largest universities in the country, and here are the spring breaks of the largest 6:

March 2 through March 9:
University of Central Florida (60,000 students) in Orlando (about 45 minutes from Walt Disney World)
University of Florida (50,000 students) in Gainesville (about 2 hours from WDW)
Florida Atlantic University (30,000 students) in Boca Raton (about 3 hours from WDW)

March 9 through March 16:
University of South Florida (50,000 students) in Tampa (about 1 hour from WDW)
Florida International University (50,000 students) in Miami (about 3.5 hours from WDW)
Florida State University (40,000 students) in Tallahassee (about 3.5 hours from WDW)

Keep in mind that these are just the large Florida universities. Many, many other universities around the country share these same spring breaks.

That's still the case. Most Texas public schools (K-12) have spring break the second week of March every year.

We are in NC, and we have it the first week of April. Well, technically 3/28 - 4/7. It's late for us, and I don't know what other districts are doing. We're heading to Disney that week hoping to miss the real crazy crowds.

I am just outside of Cincinnati, OH and our school district is out March 24-28. That is actually the week I'll be in Disney with the nephews, so I am hoping it's not extra crowded. :) Looks like a few others are out that week also. Glad to hear some of the big schools are before or after us.

I almost wish it was a fixed time in my area. Depending on the school district, it can be different from another school just 2 miles away.

I thought Louisiana had Mardi Gras week March 3, but I don't see that as a option

*EDIT* never mind Maybe I am wrong

I voted March 31, because that is our actual spring break, but this year my DD is going to Florida with her BFF and her family the first week of March. Her BFF is in college and that is her Spring Break and I am letting my DD go with them. I have never let her do anything like this before, but she is taking on-line classes for all but one of her classes this year, so she will be going then.

Ours is the week of March 10. Which is why my countdown shows what it does :) I will be spending my birthday with the mouse..

In MN there isn't a set week for all the schools- every school is differnt
My school's is March 31-April 4th.

I used to go all the time over spring break when I was a kid, which was always the week around March 26th (my birthday). It was busy, and yes we stood in line, but it was doable.
