Spring Break 2011 Ideas

I know it is a little far out, but we always plan way in advance since we usually try to use miles for the tickets...

Anyway, DD(15), has said she does not want warm and tropical this year. The past few years we have done, Caribbean Cruise, Mexican Riviera Cruise, Hawaii, Padre Island, Hilton Head, & Clearwater Beach.

Help - I need ideas!!! The only thing I have come up with are Santa Fe and a Boston/NY combo trip. I am a little concerned about the weather for the Northeast, though. It can still be miserable at the end of March, can't it? She doesn't want cold and snowy - we could just stay in MN for that. So, if anyone has suggestions for a nice temperate destination for end of March, I would so appreciate it.

What about California? Or Arizona? Plenty to do in CA....could go to some spring training games in AZ probably.

This will still be snowy but not as cold but have you ever been to Banff, Alberta, Canada? It is simply BREATHTAKING. We stayed at the Banff Springs, which is modeled after a Scottish Castle. We went snowmobiling in the mountains. The spa, including a HUGE (Olympic pool sized) outdoor hot tub is AMAZING. Just a thought.

The East Coast has had worse weather lately then we have so you may want to reconsider that.

Arizona is nice that time of year. A trip to the Grand Canyon is worth it.

San Diego is my favorite place in the US to visit-there is so much to do there and the weather is always pretty moderate.

I hear San Antonio is a great place to go too.
