Our spring break next year falls March 24th to the 28th. I just checked a few Good Neighbor Hotels and some of them are already stating they are booked for that week. WOW  I'm not sure if this is correct or if it's an omen to stay away!

Is this an exceptionally busy time of year at DL?

Gosh that's making me nervous. I am going march 10th-14th I am really praying it's not bad that early in march. Anyone know what the start of March 08 might look like as a guesstimate.

We are going the 12-16 and someone else had mentioned that they have cheerleading conventions or something going on in March.....oh PLEASE PLEASE be NOT that week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I haven't booked the hotel yet but maybe I better get to it. Wasn't planning to stay at one of the disney hotels but if it's between sharing a hotel with a zillion cheerleaders or paying megabucks for disney I might just have to start saving those pennies! BTW....I have absolutely nothing against cheerleaders, I just have a feeling their hours would be a lot later than my 4 year olds and I worry about sleep.

Easter falls on March 23 in 2008. I would expect DLR to increase its park hours starting on the March 10th and plan for peak Spring Break crowds through April 13 or so.

I looked at the Convetion website, and no cheerleaders on there so far. However, I know March is their normal month for visiting. We actually had a ton of them during a late Feb. visit in 2006.

Thanks Dangermouse.

The Fairfield stated it was booked, the Hyatt OC was booked solid, and that's when the lightbulb went on over my head. This must be a busy week. Since I'm just in the very early ruminating and planning stage, I'll take a pass! I'm sure I can find another time that's not quite so hairy.

Would you expect mid to late April to be quite so crowded? Is there a web site that sort of has "crowd" expectations? I looked at intercotwest, but there bar graph was a little difficult to interpret.

technically, Disney defines spring break as April 1 - April 14th...

anything before and after is classified as pre and post spring break :)

So does that mean that 10th-14th is going to be badly crowded? It is during the week, but I am gettting nervous. Anyone know how crowded this might get during those dates, or will it stgill, be fairly calm.

;) I think Spring Break is the second busiest time of year for Disneyland - after Christmas, of course. Even summer is more managable. So many people vacation during this time and schools tend to have the time off around Easter. I anticipate mid March to early April to be very, very busy. We really enjoy May, but honestly there are never any good on site hotel rates during May, I don't know why.:confused3 Good luck deciding, just knowing you get to go is exciting!
