Spring Break '08 with Tri-Circle-D!!!

Thanks for the link- interesting article. Man, that is going to be a sweet place to have a house.

Once they start building them, I'll have to wander over there and get some photos!

TCD

Yeah, IF they let you in. Sounds like you have to have lots of $$$ to get in there. I love Celebration, just don't want to pay the prices to live there. Plus, before we moved to Ohio (then back to FL) about 5 yrs ago, there was a news story about how some of the houses built over there were crumbling on the outside. The trim would just come off in bits. Well, that & the $700 HOA fee (at least that's what it was at that time 5 yrs ago...).....:lmao:

Lovin your report! I will not be showing the pics of the Jonas bros to my daughter....she'd probably fall off her chair and starting whining about how we missed them. :lmao:

TCD,

This is great. I can't wait for more. Keep'em coming.

With as many times as TCD has been to the Fort over the years, you would be justified in thinking that I have seen it all.

But, you would be wrong.

In all my visits, I have never seen an alligator.

I never thought there were any, even though there have been a couple of photos posted.

Well, last week I was poking around the canal behind the 1500 loop, and two kids tell my DD that there is a gator in the canal!

It couldn't be. There are campsites all around.

But, this is what I saw:

Here's another look:

And another shot after he started swimming away:

This is right behind the 1500 loop campsites, and where folks canoe and kayak all day! :scared1:

I would say he was about a four footer.

It's probably been caught & moved by now. We were on the ferry from POR to DTD w/ the in-laws in the fall & the driver/capt. said that if they find alligators, that they catch them & move them to their "happy" place. They probably ship them over to Gatorland. But they do try to not have them on property in the wild where guests are or can be.

Time to look at other people's campsites. Why wait for someone to post a picture of his campsite, when I can do it for him?

Here are some photos of some interesting set-ups seen around the Fort last week.

On the 1900 loop. This is a Winnebago product, built on a Mercedes SUV chassis. A neat little rig, note the satellite dish on the roof:

On the 100 loop. I liked the whimsical signs this camper has installed on his/her site. Also note the purple theme. Not real common at the Fort:

Also on the 100 loop, a motorcycle with a cool side car. (Just like the bat bike- remember how much Robin loved riding in that?):

Here are some good old boys enjoying their campsite on the 2000 loop. They kept their boat parked there for easy access, and dressed like dem fellers you see on those cable channel fishing shows (lots of plaid and denim):

Over on the 1200 loop, I caught a glimpse of some long-termers' garage. Note that this is where they keep their fancy golf cart, and their Christmas tree (this was taken in April-so I'm guessing these folks have been at the Fort a long time):

I thought this was an interesting rig on the 300 loop- looks like a travel trailer, but the roof pops up:

Right next door to the rig in the photo above, I found the site of our own Disboard friend BradisGoofy. Quite a set-up. Note the lime green golf cart, and Mickey light. He also had a scrolling message sign in his window saying things like "Disboards" and "Fort Fiends." Good job!

I LOVE all your pictures TCD. I too enjoy taking pictures of "interesting" rigs and sites.

Sun Line made those trailers with the roof that raised up. I always kind of liked them. They were lower profile when towing, but gave you full head room when set up, and they went up pretty easy. Unfortuneately, I believe that company is now out of business.

That rig belongs to bradisgoofy's son and daughter in law who is disbugsmomma..

Donnie is the Consigliere of the Fort. No one makes a move without him knowing it.

Here are some more deer photos. Saw this one around sunset one night. This is in the area of the jug handle right across from the 2000 loop bus stop:

Look right at the edge of the road in the center of the photo.

We were there over a month ago, and the site with "imagine, dream, etc" where there then, so was the rig with the xmas tree, and Dodge golf cart in its own garage.

I hope someday, we can stay there that long, but heck, by then it will probably be $400 a night...LOL

TCD always love to see where your taking pictures. There is always something unexpected.

What loop where you all on? I am trying to remember a cart with flowers on it
We were in site 409. Most of the Flowers were the plush type with wire inside the stems so they keep taking them off every time it rained which was a lot at the end of the week.

What...the show isn't over is it....:confused3

More please...:cutie:
