Spring brake

hey just a quick question. MY DGF and I are comming over from England 04/22/05 for two weeks will this clash with American's Spring brake? Thanks

I think that your dates should be after the spring break schedule, which in our part of the country is sometime in March.

You should be pretty safe. I know Peak Season only goes until 4/16.

Spring break for colleges is usually in Feb. or March.
For a lot of K-12 schools, it is scheduled around Easter, which is the end of March.

Thanks guys! What would you say the crowds will be like then last week in april and 1st week in may?

You may have problem. Usually Spring break for K-12 is the week before or after Easter. This year since Easter is so "early" our school has decided to give the kids a week off in late April instead. Ours is April 18-22. We are taking a Disney Cruise this week. I remember seeing another post regarding this and it seemed that the northeast was giving this week or the next week off.

You may want to investigate further.

I bet the parks will be really low cause Easter is so early and spring breaks will be over.

Some southern schools are done in the middle of May, and people aren't going to pull their kids out of school when they only have a few weeks left of school. I think you are going at a perfect time this year.

NYC public schools have spring break April 25-29. Long Island schools are out the same time. I believe a few New England school systems may also be out at that time.

I think the parks will be busy at that time, but not as bad as the weeks around Easter.

Massachusetts, Maine and parts of CT have spring break the week of April 18. It is always the third week in April, no matter when Easter is. This is when we were there this past April. It was also after Easter, and after what Disney considered to be peak season. It was quite crowded. Not only that, the parks closed earlier than they had just the week before, the MK closed very early some nights for grad nights and private parties. We still had a great time, the weather is wonderful, but I would not expect the crowds to be small just because it is after Easter.
