The email confirming they received your fax?

Yes. A few of us still haven't received this email even though Disney confirmed over the phone they have it. We're just wondering if anyone else out there also never got the email.

Oh, I got two of them actually. The first one said that they were missing the last page of my role checklist, and the second one said they had everything (after I refaxed it again).

I'm guessing it depends on who recieves it depends on if you get an email or not. They should like make it mandatory or something lol... cuz all these people are like "i got mine!!" and im like....." I havent" lol. As long as i get an acceptance letter though, I'll be ok

EDIT::: And I'm curious as to whether or not they are going to be waiting until they get people's mailed in application or not before sending out resposnes. Because if they aren't waiting due to the misscommunication, then i should be hearing something VERY soon... but if they are then it could be another 2-3 weeks since they should have just recieved my mailed application yesterday

The emails I received were from someone named Danielle Smith, so I don't think Disney automatically sends them. I'm hoping the notifications go out this week, I'm really starting to get anxious.

I remember someone on here saying that Disney was behind in mailing out the packets but they could be up to speed now. I'm thinking it will at least be another week and a half to two weeks. I really hope I don't have to wait four XD or even five!

I remember hearing that too, but i thought it was for another session like last fall or last year or something.

I really hope i dont have to wait so much longer lol. I will if i have to but i sure don't want to!

I called today to confirm that they had my faxed application, and spoke to Sara who said they did not get my fax! However, I only sent it on Monday, and she said they were somewhat behind on going through all the paper work, and I figured that, on top of the long weekend probably meant my app was just sitting in the bottom of a pile somewhere waiting to be put into the system. I sent my hard copy by express mail, so it should be there tomorrow at noon and Sara said I could call again tomorrow to make sure they got it. This whole process is killing my nerves! Hopefully I can update tomorrow and say that they got all my stuff.

I just got another email informing me that they received my original application in the mail. The email said that as long as I had faxed my application and had my interview, then I would hear a response in 2-4 weeks via US Mail.

Ugh... So I had my interview all lined up for today at 3:00.

2:59 and the phone rings. Well turns out that they can't complete the interview because they don't have my web interview forms.

I guess what happened was a few months ago I tried to apply for the Fall semester however after filling out all of the papers I tried to call to schedule an interview appointment and they had already stopped taking interviews.

So when I got ready to apply for the Spring semester I redid all of the forms and sent everything in again except when I tried to complete the web interview that is required before the phone interview it said that my ss# had already been used. I figured okay cool, they still have it on file from when I applied earlier this year but I guess they don't have the info and they hadn't purged it from last time either or something.

My interviewer said that she had taken down some notes about what had happened and was going to send an email to try to get it worked out and that I should also call the recruiting office and tell them what had happened as well. So as soon as I got off the phone with her I gave them a call... 4 minutes late. They had already closed for the day.

So long story short, I wasn't able to do the interview. I only hope they are able to figure out a solution to the problem quickly so I don't have to wait forever until I can get another interview lined up. Guess I'll have to wait till tomorrow to call and try to get worked out.

What a bummer...

Disney is behind and I would say that no one is going to recieve a packet until the middle of next week. I have been on the phone with them and they kept asking everytime did you fax your application instead of just looking and seeing that I did.

Personally Im kind of glad that they are behind. I had a restricted rehire status so I was suppose to get rehire paperwork in the mail, fill it out, mail it back, and then wait another 3-6 weeks to hear back. Well I was having none of that. So I called my old managers and they were able to clear the whole thing up. So if they havent looked at my application yet that would be great. Because now they will see that I have a yes rehire instead of a restricted one. If you do get accepted be on good terms with your managers, they can be a big help. Now i dont have to go through any appeals process or anything, i'll just get a packet in the mail like everyone else. Can't wait to see who gets their's first.

It's not an error on your end so I wouldn't worry too much about it. They'll sort it out. You'll do your interview soon and it'll be all good.

It only took a week and a half... lol but at least i got them!!!

So First thing this morning I called the recruiting office to explain what had happened the day before. The guy who I explained it to said that the people who were in charge of the DLR recruitment were out of the office and should be back by noon, so I said I would call back after that.

I tried calling back at about 1ish when I got home from class and explained the situation again, this time the first person I talked to said she couldn't find my application information at all. This began to frustrate me because I have now applied twice. How can you not find my information? After putting me on hold for a few more minutes she came back and said that she had finally found the info and that it was stored under Disney world or something like that instead of for the DLR. Anyways she said that she already had all of my forms in order that she could reschedule another interview. Great. A few minutes after I get off the phone she calls back and says that she cant find my info again and that she wanted to transfer me to the person in charge of the web interview portion. After waiting on hold yet again another person comes on to whom I explain the situation one more time. She seemed to understand what had happened and said that I would need to talk to somebody else, (I had been transferred to so many different departments by this time that I don't even remember what she said) but that she was not in the office so I would need to leave a voice mail message explaining what had happened. So I said that would be fine and I was transferred to her voice mail and left what I can only imagine is a pretty confusing story.

This application process is turning out to be a nightmare. I only hope I can get this resolved as quickly as possible. I had hoped to be done with everything in the first week so I wouldn't have to worry about it anymore.

I hope I am able to look back on all of this and laugh in the end but right now I am getting pretty frustrated with the whole thing.

Awww man, i hate it when stuff like this happens... and i know how easy it is to get so frustrated when it's about something you REALLY want. I hope that person calls you back and you're able to figurre out everything really quickly! Keep us updated!
