My interview is Friday at 8:15! I did it a little early but I was anxious just setting it up XD It's with Carlene, anyone had her?

Just finished my interview with Annette. She was very nice, and made me feel very comfortable talking to her. I applied for attractions, BBB, and character attendant, and wrote a few of the questions down if any of you are interested. I got the typical Space Mountain question and the "what would you do if someone was being rough with a character" question.

I'm SO relieved it's over, even though I'm not positive my answers were amazing.

so after originally scheduling my interview for wednesday then having to reschedule it for tuesday because of class interference issues, then having to reschedule the tuesday interview because there was a cable down and my house phone wasnt working, my interview is now friday at 1 with colleen/carlene. im so nervous and excited!

MissRiss89 I applied for the exact same roles as u did lol!...Just in the order of BBB hostess, attractions, then character attendant.. wat kinda ?'s did she ask u... We didn't even discuss Character atdt. haha.. o well i guess i'll get my 1st or 2nd choice hopefully then :confused3 :tigger:

I posted them all in the Facebook group, I'm the post after you haha. She didn't even ask me for my order, just told me to tell her the things I would most want to do. I listed them as attractions, character att., and BBB.. even though character attendant was my first choice. I hope that didn't affect anything.. although I'd be happy with either of those.

I am super nervous!
I applied today and called and they set me up with an interview with Wendy tomorrow at 9!!
I didn't know it would be so soon. I am applying for attractions, character attendant, merchandise in that order.
I need to keep breathing haha

Thanks!

Is the Space Mountain question the technical difficulties question?

the Space Mountain question is what would you do if a child wanted to ride but was too short?
I got that question when I interviewed on Monday. Basically I just said that I would apologize to the child and talk to them for a little bit. Find out what they like and why they wanted to ride Space Mountain. If it was because they liked roller coasters or something like that I would recommend a ride that they coudl enjoy like Big Thunder Mountain and if available give them fast passes as a sort of compensation. That way the child doesnt feel bad for being too short. Something a long the lines of this would be fine. Although in reality each situation is entirely different.

Dont worry too much about the interview everyone is extremely nice and will answer any questions that you might have. they put you at ease and never once make you feel like you are answering badly or anything even if your answer is maybe not what they are looking for. Everyone is really nice I was on the phone with them and they didnt seem upset or annoyed at all with my questions which is good since I am calling again tomorrow.

Ah Im feeling so great right now about my interview! Just had it with Dina and it was a lot of fun and I was a lot less nervous than my interview last semester. It started out a little rocky since its pouring here in Orlando and my phone was not ringing. I got a voicemail from Dina saying she was trying to call me but it wouldn't go through. Thankfully it finally did and we just laughed since we were both getting poured on right now.
Interview was easy, she made it all go really smoothly and only took about 20 minutes to get through the whole thing. Started out with basic stuff going over the application. She asked the dreaded quick service question and I told her, since working in the food industry for years, I would much rather try new things and have new experiences in the program she laughed, agreed and said with my major I'd be much better off working attractions.
One question I didnt get asked last time was what would I do if I had a disrepectful roommate, caught me slightly off guard but living with 5 other girls and one bathroom right now made it pretty easy to answer.
Also if any of you want a certain attraction let your interviewer know! I let mine know and she's saying I have a pretty good chance on it.
So good luck to everyone who still has interviews to come, you'll all do great. Everyone working the phones is so nice and easy to talk to so nobody should be nervous out there.

Is it still considered pretty early on in the program recruitment? Because i'm hoping for a certain attraction(s) and I know you have a better chance of getting them if you interview early.

Yes, its very early. Applications only started being accepted like a week ago. They aren't even accepting the DLR applications until the 1st of Sept.

Well, I went ahead and did it! I scheduled my interview today for 12:30 (Central time, so 1:30 their time) with Colleen (the person I talked to said Collen I'm pretty sure, but I'll guess I'll find out for sure on Friday!)

Oh, that's good! I'd really like to work at the Haunted Mansion XD It's my favorite attraction. I don't know if there are certain rides reserved for CM's though...

I think i'm just a few interviews ahead of you guys! I hope Colleen is as nice as the other interviewers sound! I have my answers all planned out but I have a feeling i'm going to be so nervous i'm going to draw a blank and just stutter like an idiot XD

HM is one of the most sought-after attractions! Just beware... Ask for it, but don't get your hopes up too high. If you have a 2nd choice, you may want to tell them that too... It's pretty early though, so your chances are probably better at it now than later...

As far as I know, CP's can be placed at any attraction...

Don't worry about the interview. You seem excited when you talk about Disney with all of us, so just think of your recruiter as another Disney fan... Unless your answers are completely bogus or of a dangerous nature, you should be okay. They're trying to get to know you and your personality more than looking for the absolute perfect answer. Really, the interviews are fun, IMO... Good luck!

It's possible, but odds are, you're probably overreacting a bit...don't worry so much. I'm sure it went better than you think. They expect people to be a bit nervous. As long as you didn't answer with something that would endanger a guest, reflect badly on the company, or make it sound like you wouldn't enjoy being there, you're probably fine :) What roles did you apply for?

That's good to know. I'll remember to mention TOT of too XD

I know half an hour isn't long for an interview but it feels like it's going to be an eternity on the phone
