Spotted Celebrities

:rolleyes:nice:rolleyes: nothing like cutting the line in front of a bunch of kids just because you are a lousy entertainer....
In no way am I defending celebrities and the special treatment they get almost everywhere they go.... BUT...

...letting them skip ahead actually gets them in/out more quickly and doesn't allow for large crowds of people to swarm them and make a big scene. By letting them skip to the front, the theme parks are actually trying to lessen the hassle on the normal park guest.

Now, if the celebrity has a very large "entourage" with them, I would have a problem with that. So with the Busta Rhymes example, I can see becoming aggravated.

Thats what I was meaning....one or two people, fine - I can understand that. But to have an entire entourage do it? I find that a little rude.

When we stayed at RPR in I think it was 2003, we saw Ted Nugent - he said "how ya doin'" to me! In I think 2005, we were getting off the elevator to walk our boxer Sid at the HRH and I ran right into Sinbad, he said "nice looking dog!", and same trip I believe, my DH got in the elevator at the HRH & there was a poster of Bobby Flay in The Kitchen, then Bobby Flay gets in and DH looks at him, then the poster, and Bobby says "yep, that's me".

Everybody was very cool!

I've never seen a celebrity at US. I saw Mick Foley at the Poly, but that doesn't count I guess.

We were also there when Fear Factor was filming on Dr. Doom, so saw Rogan

Hulk Hogan several times - I think he lives there.

Moises Arias (Ricco in Hannah Montana) and his family, Jonathan Silverman, Rhea Perlman when they were filming a scene for yet another Beethoven movie at Mels.

Numerous golf pros at the Portofino when the PGA tour plays in Orlando. DD gave Jim Furyk some grief for leaving his clubs and stuff smack in the middle of the hallway when she was trying to get by with her suitcase :rolleyes1

Chatted with Liv Tyler, who was behind me in the champagne line during Portofino's Harbor Lights. I was impressed - she stood in line for her wine and food just like us peons.

I saw Busta Rhymes and his huge entourage cut the line in front of us at Jimmy Nuetron... other pple had to tell me who he was!!!:confused3

I highly doubt they "cut in line" ... most celebs that visit US/IOA usually arrange for a VIP tour and would have had a VIP tour guide with them who escorts them to the front of the line. Anyone (not only celebrities) can arrange a VIP tour and receive the same treatment - here's the website that explains it.

Thanks, Bonny. I was just going to post that. Some of us have even been VIPs ourselves, right? ;)

My mother and I saw Michael Jackson at US in 2002, or 2003 I can't remember when we went down. We were about to go into the Lucy (I think that is the name) store and were turned away, the next thing I saw was MJ waving out the window. He stopped for a few mins to take pictures, but he was surrounded by his body guards so you couldn't get very close.

This was before I had a digital camera so unfortunatly I'd have to find/scan in the pictures...and they aren't very good but I'll definitely take a look for them and post them.

We saw Hulk Hogan, his wife, and both Nick and Brooke at the Hard Rock Hotel in March, 2007. then, later that week, they were in line at Spiderman, and Hulk posed for everyone one.

Also, we saw Joey Fatone (ex of nsync) at the Hard Rock Hotel, Christmas of 2007. He's very personable, and funny.

I saw Steven Tyler (areosmith) & Joey Fatone (ex-nsync) at Islands in 2005 around the holidays (December, late December actually). Same day, same park! Just two different locations.

Joey was in the dr. seuss land while Steven Tyler was walking into where the dinosaur section of the park is.

My sister noticed Tyler walking by himself (third pic) so I told her there is no way that can be him, why would he be walking by himself? next thing you know, you see a HUGE crowd following him with his bodyguards (about 15 feet back). my mom took my camera and ran up to him (second pic)

The O'jays where in the RPR last night before they played at US, never took any pics.

Got a high five from Shaquille O'neil on Sunday. He was there with a bunch of children and he noticed my LSU hat ( his alma mater ) and pointed it out . Well, lets say a high five for me and a waist high for him!!

This goes back about 5 years during Mardi Gras.
Members of the band Live were hanging out in Finnegan's bar prior to their MG concert having a drink and talking with fans/patrons. Cool guys.
