If you do not have cable or satellite and are using alternate means for your television viewing, how/where do you find live sporting events.

I have been mentioning the idea to my DH for several years about dropping Directv, but he hasn't been able to give up his ESPN. With some of the new resources out there, he is open to considering it now.

I know internet streaming is a topic that appears often so I don't want to beat a dead horse, however, after doing a little research, we believe these are the options if we should decide to go this route. Hulu Plus for current tv shows, Netflix for movies and older tv shows, ESPN3 streamed through the XBox for sports and antenna for local channels.

When we look at ESPN3 it doesn't appear to include NFL games. Is there anyway to view these without cable/satellite?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions/tips.

You only have two options. You can either keep your cable/sat, or get a digital converter box (you know, the ones the Gov't gave coupons for), an antenna and watch them over-the-air. There is no legal way to get ESPN (except for ESPN3) online.
