Hi all

I'm looking for a boston bruins team jersey for a gift. my nephew wants his favorite players name on it. I know nothing about this stuff!

Any suggestions for places I can get these for a reasonable price?

My sister gave me a website that was pretty cheap but the way the wording was on the website made me suspicious that this was not a legitimate site.

Thanks is advance!

In the past I have gotten cheap jerseys on Amazon. Last year after baseball season ended I got a $100 MSRP jersey for $30 and a $80 MSRP one for $24.

Authentic jerseys are pricey!

I bought a NJ Devils practice jersey at Kohl's a few years ago, but with the lockout, I'm not sure if any stores even have NHL jerseys out for sale.

The one most reliable source for jerseys is the NHL shop.

When I grabbed this link, I saw that there's a 10% discount for signing up for emails from them, which is better than nothing.

Kohls carries some jerseys, and you can combine a sale with 30% off quite often.

I saw on one of the deal websites that Sports Authority is have a sale of 25% off of their Fan Gear through December 6th. I'm not sure if they have exactly what you are looking for, but you might want to check it out.

**Edited to add - if you scroll to the bottom of the home page where it says "Sign up and save 10% now", they email you the 10% off code immediately. Plus, that code takes 10% off the original price of the item, not the sale price.

Also check out Bob's Stores, they have a few in NH.

I'd link it but my post count is not high enough yet

This. There are authentic jerseys, which are the same ones the team wears, and have the names and numbers stitched on to order, and you pay per letter (though some places have a stash of the more popular ones made up) - these are the priciest and you likely cannot find much more than that 10% kind of discount.

There are replica jerseys, which are the stepdown model, that look like the jerseys and have a patch logo but have the iron-on names/numbers (they can hold up decently) and just coloured, not stitched stripes, etc. These are the ones you can find on better sales.

The replica jerseys can be found a lot of places, general sporting goods stores like Sports Authority, Dick's, Modells, etc. If you're looking for a more jersey-oriented shop, River City Sports is a well-known supplier but their shipping can sometimes lag; as a poster above said, can order from the NHL shop as well. The Bruins likely have a local shop but I dunno it - maybe someone else does.

Sewn on jerseys are going to cost you, unless you happen to stumble upon one of these Amazon deals.

If you are fine with a replica screen print one it will hold up fine as long as you don't put it in the dryer. We have had SEVERAL over the years (from Kohls) and the players have retired before the jersey have. ;) I machine wash, line dry.
