Flew DFW to BDL on Delta yesterday morning. While I waited in the departure lounge, CNN told of John Ritter's death from an undetected heart defect.

I boarded my flight, and what should be first up on Delta's In Flight than "8 Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter" starring John Ritter. To make things spookier, there were lines in the episode where John ritter's character says to his wife, "Feel my heart racing." to which she replied, "There's nothing wrong with your heart!"

What a sad moment.:(

:( :( :(

This really made me sad yesterday to hear he had died. I grew up watching him on Three's Company, one of my favorite shows. And know my DD9 loves watching him on 8 Simple Rules. It was kinda neat to have her enjoying the same funny guy growing up I did.

He will be greatly missed. He was one of a kind in my book and just too young to be gone.

Even more tragic was that it happened on the set of the show. I'm sure everyone he worked with thought of him as family also.

Very errie though what you went thru yesterday though. I would have had chills going up my back when the show came on.

Mazzarafe- I hear ya. Very sad indeed. I guess it's true when they say the good die young. :(
What's REALLY sad is that his daughter's birthday is 9-11 and that's also the day he died. So I can imagine her birthday is always going to be a really sad time.... 9-11 and the anniversary of her father's death. So sad... :(

BibbidyBobbidyBoo,

I read in the paper after I got off the computer this morning that he died on his daughters birthday. That is just so sad, she is only 5 years old and I cannot imagine at that age when birthdays are "so" special how sad she will feel. My DD is turning 5 on 9/20 and she cannot wait for her birthday, it would break my heart to have anything take that feeling away from her. My heart is breaking for that little girl.:(

I did also read in the article that they only had a few episodes taped for the upcoming season, which I was surprised that was all. I thought that they did them farther ahead than that, but anyway they said they halted production indefinately. Such a shame as this was one of the few comedies that my DH could actually stand watching and my daughter actually turned off Disney Channel to watch this show!

And he was young and his birthday was only a few weeks away. He would have been the same age my mom. So sad.
