Hi everyone-

I've been seeing lots of posts here lately that Spoodles is very loud and noisy. Does anyone think it's too loud, or is it just the way it happens to be set up?

Thanks
SB

Have eaten there at least 4 times. Once was loud, when the doors were open to the boardwalk (and we were seated near one of those open doors), but the other times, I can't say we noticed it being overly loud. I think the boardwalk contributed most of the noise that evening.
The openess of the design does seem to allow kitchen noise to carry quite well.
It's not exactly a quiet spot for conversation by any means, but really loud, I wouldn't say that.

I don't remember it being noisy enough to be concerned about. Spoodles was one of my favorite meals of our last trip.

I thought Spoodles was way too noisy. There were two areas of people making meals- one by the window and one on the other side of the restaurant and periodically they would bang on the pots and pans and yell back and forth to each other. Other tables joined in and it became somewhat of a game throughout the time we were there for dinner. It got loud enough that 3 different tables of two seated near my table got up and left. We stayed because we enjoyed the food but will probably not ever go back due to the noise.

It can be noisey and depending on who is working in the kitchen, it can be very noisey there.. One chef loves to scream out the orders.....and I mean scream... when he is not there, to me it is quiet..

Noise is actully encouraging to my family. We will be traveling with a two-year-old and a four-year-old. We prefer some backgroud noise. This sounds great!

Spoodles is exceptionally noisy. There are no drapes, carpets, etc., to absorb any sound. I guess they want to create a festive atmosphere, but it turns out to be just plain loud.

Two stories about loud restaurants:

The only time I noticed excessive noise at Spoodles was one night, late, when a child at a nearby table was having a tantrum and screaming at the top of his lungs. I felt bad for the poor guy - he should have been in bed.

Then there was the time we were going to Planet Hollywood with a couple and their children. The girl (I think she was 4 at the time) started to freak out because it was too noisy. We left there and went to the McDonalds in DTD. Frankly, with all the screaming kids, it was louder! But the girl just sat there contently eating her french fries as if the room was silent.

So it all depends on what's going on when you visit. And your definition of "loud."
