I have ps for Spoodles next week, but it is forcasted to rain quite a bit, so I am second guessing myself. We are a high energy family, so walking is no big deal, but, in the rain is a different story. I don't want my family all grumpy because they had to walk a long distance in the rain to go eat. What do you guys think? Thanks for the input!!

Not a long walk from the France/UK part of World Showcase at all.

But it could seem like a long walk from Mexico if the gang has tired feet! :)

Like KathyTX said, it really isn't a long walk from France/UK. BUT, IMO, if it were raining I'd be totally miserable trying to get there through the rain from WS. Perhaps you could have a backup plan just in case? Maybe wait for the boat so you stay a bit more dry? The boat launch at the Boardwalk is a hop, skip and a jump from Spoodles.

If you do end up getting wet on the way it could a bit uncomfortable with the AC on in the restaurant.

Even though they're forecasting the rain, I'm doubting it's going to happen. It's honestly a miracle if it rains here in the late fall / winter time. I wouldn't worry much about it. :)

The boat from the International Gateway will drop you off right near Spoodles. It's a pleasant, dry ride.

The boat is the way to go if it is raining. Otherwise, it is about a 10-15 minute walk.

Okay, since we have some BOAT experts here, where does one catch the boat from MGM to Beaches & Cream? This was recommended as an alternative to eating at MGM and I would love to try it but don't remember seeing a boat launch at MGM. Help?

Thanks everyone for the responses! I am hoping, Forever42, that the forcast is faulty as well. I live in South Florida, and it is the same here; it rarely rains in the winter. Just trying to cover my bases.

I didn't even know about the boats, guys! It still makes me laugh that I have been to WDW literally dozens of times and there are people who live far away that know so much more than I! I'm not a very observant person, obviously! The boat idea is perfect, thanks a bunch!

I certainly don't want to shiver the whole time we are eating, everyone in FL keeps the restaurants sooo cold, so that was a great point also.

Love this board!

When you exit MGM Studios, you'll see the boat launch to the left side by the water. In fact, there may be a sign that says "Path to Boat" or something similar. It is covered, so if it is raining, you'll be dry once under the launch. Then you'll take the boat until you're at Beach Club/Yacht Club. The boat stop there is a white lighthouse. Once off the boat launch at BC/YC, you'll see Stormalong Bay pool -- Beach & Cream is behind the main section of the pool.

This is one of our favorite eateries!

GOOD LUCK!
