We wanted to stay within the BW area so decided to dine at Spoodles. Surprisingly, the week of T-giving there was plenty of availability. I was able to get a 5:10 ADR. We haven't been to Spoodles in about 10 years.

Has anyone been there recently and could offer a brief review?? Photos would be great! :thumbsup2

Also, does anyone know if the Kid's pizza served is the pizza from the pizza window? My boys actually like that one! :)

We went back, after a few years, this past October. I now remember why we haven't been more often. Ridiculously loud large party seated nearby, but management said nothing to them. We couldn't even hear the poor waitress, standing and yelling the specials right at our table.:headache: Several of the entree dishes were overcooked. Service spotty throughout. No photos, and I haven't relived the horror yet to be able to review it.

I did not notice the kid's pizza coming from the pizza window area, I thought it came from the regular kitchen.

Ugh, Great! No wonder there was plenty of availability!

I have some time to try and switch us somewhere else!

Thanks! :flower3:

Edited to add: I just switched to Nine Dragons! :)

We went in early October and had a great meal. The serive was great too. Unfortunately it can be loud because it is so open, but most restaurants at WDW are loud.

Spoodles has changed from a more tapas style joint to a regular restaurant, but we still eat here each year.

Here are some photos from this year

Mediterranean Dips Appetizer

Tzatzki, Feta & yogurt, Hummus & yogurt dips, served with pita bread

Crispy Chicken Cutlet-this was like chix parm, but without the heavy sauce. It was served with parma ham and arugala-excellent

Rigitoni-creamy tomato sauce with spicy sausage-parents loved it

Baklava-one of my favorites-it was great

We ate there in June and it was knock your socks off fantastic (dinner). The pizza from the takeout window is very very bad though

How did I miss your review???? :confused3

We haven't visited the pizza window since 2006, I guess it's gone down hill. It was pretty good pizza back then. But then again, pizza is pizza to a four year old! :rotfl2:

We loved Spoodles when we went in June! Had a fantastic meal and didn't find it too noisy - give it a go :thumbsup2

We did dinner back at the beginning of August. We had never tried it before and due to it being a rather spontaneous trip (booked Wednesday, left Friday) had limited options for dining. Decided to try Spoodles and now it's one of my favorites. We had a great meal! There was a little confusion at first because whoever was supposed to be our waiter/waitress had called in sick, but had they not told us that when they sat us, we would have never noticed. I honestly wasn't too much of a fan of the flatbread, but our entrees were absolutely wonderful. Also, I remember we ordered a bottle of wine and we weren't sure between two, so the waitress came back with a sample of each for us to try (well, one sample of each of the wines that is.) But she offered, we didn't ask. So we had great service, a lovely meal, and didn't find it too loud. It is open in there, so I can see how it could get loud, but if you're seated next to a large group, that's likely to happen at any restaurant really. Sucks, but it's the luck of the draw. Also, I find Spoodles to be much more moderately priced than any other restaurant on Disney property. More in line with what a restaurant like it "should" be priced at!! All in all, I would definitely keep the Spoodles ADR!!

I've been there twice since September. Once I had a late reservation (9:30), and it was a little noisy, maybe, but service and food was excellent. The second time, I had an earlier reservation (5:35) and it was quiet, fairly empty, and the food was good. For me, Spoodles is the old-reliable of Disney Dining. I highly recommend.

Worst meal of the trip -- we will never go back!!! 5 of us in our party and not one of us liked our meals - we all ordered something different. Main complaint is the quality of the meat -- the steak was tough and grizzly and the chicken was rubbery.

Anyone done breakfast lately? Any must haves?

We ate there once a while ago and it was bad bad bad. We were at the BWI for 5 days last month and alot of people that we ran into at the pool, the boat etc said that the breakfast was just greasy and gross. We wont be trying it again.

We just booked. Glad you asked about it. Seems like a love hate place. Looking forward to trying it for 1st time.

Spoodles is one of our favorite places, wish I'd seen this earlier before you changed your ADR! PLEASE reconsider!!!!!!!!!!

You got it right - there's no middle ground. Simply put, it's not a "meat and potatoes" restaurant. If you're adventurous and are willing to try new flavors you'll love it. If you want a steak on mashed potatoes, you're in the wrong ballpark.

All I can say was the food was pretty good, but our waitress, Sandy (middle age lady with brown hair and glasses) was lousy and extremely rude.

In fact, even though I did talk to the manager about her service, I wrote WDW after our trip also and complained about this waitress. They credited us $100 on the meal for 4.

Sounds like my kinda place:thumbsup2

This is one of the places our kids chose for our trip in a few weeks. We ate there a few years ago and thought it wasn't bad. It wasn't the best, but not the worst either. We're looking forward to going back. ::MinnieMo

We ate here for my DBF's 30th b-day dinner, we had pitcher of sangria, (to die for....seriously!!!) 4 cheese flatbread, (tasted like it has really strong blue cheese on it but wasn't listed as such on the menu, only ate half as flavor was waaaaay too strong) steak, onion, gorgonzola flatbread (was good flavor wise but onions were really wet and made flatbread soggy, he ended up scraping off everything and eating just toppings - onions), also we got the dip appy (it was soooo good, seriously could have aten a tub of the feta dip, found recipe on allears and am going to make it at home, taziki dip was good as well, but I didn't try that one)

Would definitely go back here again!!!!!!! :woohoo:

well, i am kinda nervous :confused3 now about my adr for spoodles...me and my bf are eating here in december and neither of us has ever eaten here? i was not sure about making this reservation to begin with but i love the bw area and thought it would be a nice first night dinner so that we could see the views of the bw as well as the bc. i looked over the menu and it looked ok...nothing stood out really but i thought we would give it a try.
i am now a little nervous cause my bf is kinda picky and when he looked at the menu, he thought "well, i'll just get a steak cause some stuff sounds kinda weird" but now he just had a freak accident in football (which knocked his two front teeth out) and he will have temporary teeth for our trip so steak is kinda out of the question now. i saw that someone said the crispy chicken is a little like chicken parm? he likes chicken parm so if anyone has any more opinions or comments about that dish, please post so i can know if i should change my adr? thanks!
