So we planned a spontaneous trip back to Disney and we leave in 14 days! I am used to planning months in advance so I admit I'm a bit overwhelmed by this trip but we are just going to go with whatever happens. My question is about Magic Bands and Fastpass+. Please can someone tell me how this all works??

We just did this a couple of weeks ago- booked a trip on Friday and checked on the following Monday!

You may have time to receive your MagicBands in the mail (you could call and check, I'm not sure of the cut off), but we were given ours at checkin. The resorts only have gray to offer, so thats the color we all got. Regardless, you can link your reservation online to My Disney Experience and start booking your FPP.

Thank you so much for your reply! I did manage to figure out how to order out Magic Bands and they shipped out Friday. YAY!!! I got an email to book the Fast Pass+ Online. Are these the only fast passes that we will be allowed to get each day and we have to wait in line for everything else? Do they still have Fast pass machines? We are park hopping so we were a little disappoints that we had to choose fast passes for only one park :(

The 3 fast passes per day at one park only, are indeed what is currently allowed.. :( You will need to line up for other rides, shows, attractions, etc.

Fast passes at the parks via the machines at the rides/attractions are no more.. there are now kiosks for those without pre selected fast passes at all parks. (and to change existing FPs if you are not a smartphone user)

We had park hopper tix/MBs back in December & the only complaint we had was not being able to chose our 3 FPs to actually coincide with our plans to move from park to park in a day...

Thank you so much for the replies! We got our Magic Bands in and booked our FP+ online. We used all of our FPs for the afternoon hours and will just try to ride what we can in the morning. I managed to get pretty good FPs so we at least know we will get to ride some of our favorites :)

Dh and I were suppose to go to an all inclusive mexico vaca on sat. Yesterday DH's boss told him he has to work monday and tuesday:confused3 , right in the middle of our Mexican vaca. Because we booked almost a year ago our trio insurance gives us an airline credit for 1 year from prucahse which means we have to travel now! So today I booked our WDW vaca 2/18-2/23:thumbsup2
Disappointed about Mexico and the 9 day vaca but happy to get out of this cold and snow for 5 days. Slightly stressed about the planning aspect but since we have AP's we can book our FP+ now:cool1:

Have a great trip
