I spoke to a very nice owner from the new vista cay community from vrbo # 106845. I think it might be the same one someone on this board said dropped his price. he seemed very nice and told me all about this new gated community built by the same builders of windsor hills . the place looks nice as many others I have looked at. seems like an upscale community with nice pool near universal, near the convention center I will take a look when I go march 8 to WH . so if interested take a look at vrbo

Seems like a great place if you plan to do WDW and Universal or just Universal. Let us know what you think when you return from checking out the place!

Hi Tiff211
is this the place you looked at are you going to stay there or did you find something else very close to seaworld also

It's in a great location for people attending meetings at the Convention Center - especially if their families are joining them.

That's why Pulte is selling homes to new potential owners there with the "promise" of being able to get $225-300 a night rents on similar properties as Windsor Hills....yeah.....right.... good luck with that! :lmao:

:rolleyes1

I just hope no one actually believes them and is counting on these kind of rents to pay their mortgages and bills, the reality is they might get it once in a blue moon with a big convention in town or something, but more likely, they'll still be competing against all of the other offsite housing developments for the Disney dollar.

That's why you saw that owner drop their price so much Tiff! hehe

I've got to agree with you. I don't think they're going to get those kind of rents either.

I know that when I'm at a conference in Orlando I can stay wherever I want to, but the rate has to be competitive with the host hotel. That's generally going to be in the $125-200 range (depending on the property). A lot of people who attend the conferences aren't reimbursed like I am though and stay at less expensive hotels in the area.

Still, it looks like I might be there again next November, and I'm planning on checking on Vista Cay.

It's supposed to be a beautiful resort, modeled after Windsor Hills, don't get me wrong by any means, I just think they're selling people a whole "bill of goods" when they tell them it's going to rent for "double what Windsor Hills does" in the Pulte sales office! LOL

I sure hope no one believes them is all, and falls for this.

the prices on the VRBO site for vista cay is higher than WH but when I emailed a few the price range is 110-229 for 3 bed 2 bath condos at low end and 3 bed 3.5 bath townhomes with about 2100 sq ft so if someone wants to stay there make an offer nad most will drop it that range at least that's what I got for june
