I don't consider him major-ish and he isn't one of the five supposedly that will die. It is heavily rumored Sawyer will die. Whoever it was, they weren't even told by the directors, they heard it second-hand.

So apparently 2 people are going to die. It is reported a MAJOR character beloved by fans is going to die at the end of this season. It is either Ben, Jin, Sawyer, Miles, or Daniel. It is also confirmed a major-ish character will die. I would consider Miles to be majorish because he has very little purpose in the show . . . yet. Oh well, just reporting what I heard.

I don't see them killing Sawyer....and if they wanted Jin to die, why just not take him out when the boat went boom at the end of last season.

I don't see them killing Sawyer....and if they wanted Jin to die, why just not take him out when the boat went boom at the end of last season.

Sawyer would be hard to justify to the fans because whenever he is shirtless, well . . . (I am a guy, but after reading other opposite sexes opinions on J.H. . . .) Also because of the love square they got going on.

My guess is Sayid. (I'm always wrong so there ya go LOL)

Sayid has no outside pulls. His love is dead and gone, nothing else is really known about him cept he was in the Iraqui guard and did some horrible things like we have been shown/believe them to have done. Oh and his Island love Shannon is gone too. Both his here and there are nil.

Sayid is the one with the least ties out of the few.

Ya ya he's hot as ***** and my pants will miss him making them happy but RIP Sayid. All I ask is that he die with my name on his lips. Is that too much to ask??

also is Desmond the exception? He is able to change the future I think. Or is the fact that Charlie kept having to die proof that Desmond couldn't change the future?

No the fact that Desmond kept saving him proves that he can change the future--but something as important as your death is too much to change forever. I think the point there is that Charlie ended up giving us a very important piece of information before he dies, which they never would have had if he had died the first time...not sure it would've changed too much though.

This is how I think of it. Whatever Daniel says is how it is. He is the voice of the writers--Daniel told Des that he is the only one exempt from the rules of time. So he is.

I think I agree with you about Ethan - we don't really know too much about him, so it's quite possible there's a whole back story to Ethan that we don't know yet.

Jacob? I always pictured Jacob as old...older than Richard. So unless Jacob is some kind of spirit who wanted to become human, I don't think so.

Desmond? I have absolutely no reason to think that it's NOT Desmond, other than the fact that I want Desmond and Penny to end up far, far away from Ben and Widmore and the island! To me, they have always seemed like the "innocent" people who got caught up in the whole island thing.

Daniel? Not him, because (1) he said that Eloise Hawking was his mother (although he could have been adopted); and (2) he wasn't having nosebleeds during the flashes, was he? So that would mean he hadn't been on the island before as an infant.

Sawyer, Ben or Daniel.

The ONLY one I won't be too upset about is Daniel.

The one I will be the most upset about is Sawyer.

Ben would be missed too.

Could be Daniel since we did not see him 3 years later at the Dharma homes. I just assumed he went home but then again there has to be a reason why Sawyer, Juliet, Jin and Miles stayed and we never saw Daniel.

Well, if they are saying a MAJOR character will die and WE will be very upsed, I'm thinking it's someone who's been around since Season 1 (OK...you can throw Ben in too since he's such an important character right now)

Please don't let it be Sawyer!! He's changed so much since "joining" the Dharma Initiative - he's become a leader, holding a steady job, respectable, settling down with Juliet. (Ok, so he's still lying about who they are and how they got to the island, but it was just to save their lives.)

I'm kind of hoping it's Ben - he's served his purpose (got Locke to go back to the island). Maybe Widmore, through Cesar or Ilana, will finally get rid of Ben.
