**spoilers*** Lost Season Five **spoilers**

More questions....why didn't Sun jump to 1977? I understand Ben's (not part of the original flight) & Locke's (replacing / re-enacting Christian) not jumping, but why not Sun?

When Jack spoke with Farday's mother and asked what if he couldn't get all six to go back she said she didn't know what the outcome would be. I think that maybe because all 6 didn't go back that they were only able to get so far in time.

I do think Christian will help her to get to where she needs to be. With her not with the others (Jin, Jack, etc), whatever they need to happen won't work.

Just my 2 cents. :thumbsup2

I think there are a lot of workman uniforms and wouldn't read too much into it, especially because the Purge doesn't happen until 1992. We have 15 years to get to that. Plus, with the season finale being called "The Incident" we can possibly assume that we're only going to go forward in time as far as the Incident, which took place sometime around now--since the good Dr mentions it in some of the Hatch videoes.

And no one will kill young Ben. That simply can't happen. If it did, Ben would have not been around to mess with us for the last few seasons.

There being two uniforms we have seen in the past is just too much of a coincidence to me. And this is Lost, there is no such thing. ;)

I agree that someone is behind Sun. I think it's CLaire and she looks to be playing with tarot cards or something. I thought it was a very good episode.

As someone else just posted, we saw Ben's dad wearing the same uniform. So yes, there have been at least 2 people wearing it.
I highly dount they all (or even mostly) die in the purge--that would be totally stupid. I find it more likely that they join up with the hostiles at some point.

Although, I wouldn't mind if Jack died. I'm really tired of him crying all the time. It isn't Wednesday if Jack isn't crying. :thumbsup2

From what I have read, although i don't remember where and take it for what its worth) sun doesnt go back in time. she does meet up with jin, but she meets with an old jin. (the jin in 1977 growin up and meeting up with present time sun) lol did that make sense at all?

Maybe Sun is not wanted by the island. I was also wondering...what if 'little sun' was on the island in the 70s like 'little ben'. Maybe she can't go back there in time for that reason.

I don't think anyone will kill little Ben that would mean big Ben dies as well. He's the whole show. They will need him to find out WHY!! We all know that Locke will come back to life like Jack dad did. So where is he??

While watching last night, I said what Sun was going to say prior to that. I told my DD I write "Lost." She said, "Well, then that makes a lot of sense to me now." :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Allright you all are being too darn logical! :rotfl:

Let's just say that the Island is a "living, breathing" entity, and that Ben was not supposed to be the leader, someone else was. Could be the Island is trying to change things to the way it is supposed to be. Now little Ben doesn't need to die, just needs to have an "attitude" adjustment ;) and could be Sayid is the one who does it.

But then again, it could be one of the Losties fault that he is the way he is. They went back in time and DID change something, something that caused Ben to be the way he is now and have to go back and fix that mistake. :thumbsup2

Okay here's a good one. ABC issues press releases for Lost in advance and the latest few I have seen suggest that Ben might make it back to 1977 because in two weeks:

I am hiding the spoiler because even though this is the spoiler thread I want you to make sure you want to know this.

LOST - "Whatever Happened, Happened" - Kate goes to extreme measures to save Ben's life when Jack refuses to help. Meanwhile, Kate begins to tell the truth about the lie in order to protect Aaron, on "Lost," WEDNESDAY, APRIL 1 (9:00-10:02 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. (ABC/MARIO PEREZ) EVANGELINE LILLY, KEN LEUNG, JOSH HOLLOWAY

But that could be referring to the "young" Ben who is already in 1977.....

Locke was alive after the plane crashed on the island in "present" time. This was a couple of episodes back--he told a fellow passenger that he was dead when he boarded the plane.

I really think it's more along the lines of your second point.
I don't think the island can't change the rules of time anymore than Sawyer can. Desmond is the only one who can. BUT since something on the island actually allows time travel, I will conceed that it is possible it can bypass.

But this would unravel the writers time travel rules and I just do not see that happening.

That's posted here somewhere already. And I think it's definitely referring to young Ben who we saw at the end of the last episode. Isn't it funny how Lost will make you look really far into things all the time? :thumbsup2

Jack drives me insane! He is so dramatic about everything.

Jack: "John's dead."
Sawyer: "dead? How?"
Jack: "It doesn't matter, he's gone."

JUST TELL THE GUY WHAT HAPPENED. Geesh!

I never realized how annoying he was until I read that recap blog... http://www.theackattack.net/?tag=lost-recap
He literaly cries in nearly every single episode. And Sawyer's comments about Jack being about reaction and not thought really hit home too.

JEARS!!! :sad2:

I've read everything on the blog and can say I'm a better Lost fan for it--it's sooo funny! :thumbsup2

He's a doctor. Every doctor I've ever known socially was a highstrung drama queen. Of course there are plenty who are not, but the way he acts... reminds me of people I know.

This is something that's really bothering me: time travel is not possible, except as fiction. So the only "rules" of time travel are whatever the writers want them to be. Please give me a link so I can read Damon and Carlton's "Rules of Time Travel" - the only thing we know for sure is that whatever the rules are, Desmond is immune. Daniel said "whatever happened, happened" and the thing about being on the wrong track of a record. I don't think those are enough for us to say with certainty that the Losties can or can't do something or "they're going to break the rules."
