The only good thing about Lost ending in a year or two, is that I will enjoy going back to season 1 and watching the whole thing again, knowing the "secret" this time. Won't that make a nice 3 month project?!

I posted this over on the non-spoiler thread, but I thought I'd get your comments too:

I re-watched the episode last night with my DS. At the very end where Daniel comes out of the sub and sees Miles and he says "Hi Miles, good to see you again" or something like that........Did Daniel seem different to you? The last time we saw him was when Sawyer's group was first captured by Dharma and they were sitting outside at night and Daniel saw young Charlotte walking by. Daniel was basically a blubbering idiot, mumbling about how he was NOT going to say anything to her, etc, etc. Daniel's always been kind of an absent-minded professor, but that scene made it look like he went off the deep end.

Then this week, he gets out of the sub and he seemed very confident and self-assured when he greeted Miles. Granted, it wasn't a very long scene, but he seemed different. I'm thinking he left on the sub shortly after they were captured by Dharma, went back to the "mainland" (or wherever the sub goes), and did some research and either (a) figured out how to get them back to the future or (b) figured out that it IS possible to change the past so that maybe Charlotte won't die. (Yes, I'm still not COMPLETELY convinced that "whatever happened, happened." )

What do you think?

Wow.....you gotta check this out. I read another Lost forum, and they were discussing Hurley's "super-power" of talking to dead people vs. Miles'. Someone mentioned that Hurley only talked to people that he knew and was somehow connected with, and someone else said "what about Dave - Hurley's imaginary friend from the mental institution"? Remember him? No one else saw Dave, somebody even took a photo of Hurley with his arm around Dave but Dave didn't appear in the photo. Then Dave appeared to Hurley on the island and tried to get him to jump off a cliff.

You have to read this person's theory about Dave:

Ok.. this is a theory my husband and I have had for a long time.. DAVE is dead.. he is Libby's dead husband. We know that Libby was in the mental institution at the same time Hurly was. We also know (from Libby flashbacks) that she was married to a man named David, who died. She was sitting at a coffee shop and Desmond joined her table.. they started talking and Des told Libby about the boat race he wanted to join, but didn't have a boat. Libby told Des about her recently deceased husband, David.. and that he had a boat. Libby GIVES David's sail boat to Desmond.. so he can join the race (which eventually takes him to the island) So.. that gives David one connection to the island.. as it's his boat that brings desmond there to fulfill his destiny..

THEN, cut to Libby in Santa Rosa at the same time as Hurly. Hurly can talk to dead people.. and has been able to for a long time (but other people just see him talking to what they think are imaginary friends) Because Hurly can SEE and SPEAK to David (Dave)- the ghost of Libby's husband who is hanging around her at the institution.. they become "friends" The second time we see Dave talking to Hurly is ON the island.. when Hurly is getting friendly with Libby.. and now Dave is not as friendly towards Hurly.. in fact he tries to convince him to jump off a cliff.. maybe this is because Hurly is trying to get more friendly with Libby.. who Dave still feels connected too.. so he tries to get Hurly to hurt himself.. thereby keeping Libby and Hurly apart..

So that gives Dave another connection to the island..

I agree he seemed very confident when getting off sub. However, in the previews for next episode or a commercial for next episode they show Daniel saying we all can die.

I think there is a third "group" who is interested in the island and agree it may be connected to the Others. This show is so confusing. What is the answer to their dang question!??!

I just wish instead of killing someone they would bring back Charlie.

Who do know they will not be killing off this season for certain?

I agree. I'm thinking there is a third side too. I think there's Ben, Witmore and some other side; either somehow connected to the mystical aspect of the Others or to Dharma.

All spoilers of who the major death might be are somewhere in this thread but the answers are hard to locate. I'll post what I can remember/find.....

The spoilers are saying the major death in the finale are NOT: Jack, Sayid, Penny and there are more but I couldn't find them.

The spoiler websites have narrowed it down to probably one of these three: It will be either Sawyer, Ben or Daniel.
