Splitting up FP for small kids and parents

Question....My wife and 3 small kids (4, 4, & 5) are headed down soon and I gave the same FP rides for all 5 of us. Some of these include character meet & greets that are obviously for the enjoyment of the children. My question is, what if I assign the kids the m&g Fastpass and my wife and I an adult rider swap ride, like EE? When we show up to the M&G, are we going to be denied access because my wife and I don't have a Fastpass? Our kids are too young to allow in alone, I can't imagine them forcing us to split.

I don't think MDE will allow you to make FP+ just for children who are too young to go by themselves (a child under 7 must be accompanied by someone 14 or older). And they won't let you in if you don't have a FP+.

But you can use Rider Swap for EE and other attractions the kids can't ride - so one adult can have FP+ for EE and the other adult can have FP+ for the M&Gs.

There are a few threads on this but all members of your party must have a FP to enter the line, even at a meet and greet and if your children are under 7 you won't be able to make one for them alone anyway,

For the height restricted rides you can split your FP+ plus between the adults and use the rider swap for the other parent.

Do yours for the adult rides with rider swap, and your wife and kids to the meet and greets. She'll have to take them to the meet and greets without you, but you'll both get to ride the rides with rider swap. For example I have Anna and Elsa with my kids, and my hubby has 7dmt that we will rider swap for. We do most together but split a couple up like this.

I wouldn't advise it- you may get them to allow you in with your child but you run the risk that they won't- it's also abusing a courtesy Disney extends to some who weren't able to get fp's for the child and parent.

When courtesies get abused, they get removed.

I don't know if they are as strict at the less popular m&gs, but we were behind a family at A&E that only had FPs for the kids, and the CM politely and efficiently directed the whole group to the standby line, no discussion allowed. The rule is that everyone going into the line must have a FP. While you may occasionally find a CM willing to be flexible, counting on breaking the rules doesn't seem like a good plan. More than likely, the FP will get wasted since your kids can't go in alone.
