Splitting the check for BOG pre-order

I have a reservation for two for BOG lunch and would like to pre-order. Can my friend and I pay separately when we get there? I read on the Mom's Disney Parks blog that it's possible to apply dining credits from different people, but we don't have the dining plan. We'll be paying with gift cards or cash.

Officially, this isn't allowed so that they can keep the line moving, in reality we saw plenty of people doing just this and in fact we did it with dining credits, don't see why cash or gift cards would be any different.

This will definitely be up to the CMs on duty. As cmwade77 said, it's not technically allowed and is even stated on the website that it's not allowed (a rarity for Disney to actually state something). So make sure you have a plan in case you are told no for one of you to reimburse the other at a meal somewhere else.

No splitting checks with pre-order. Unless you want to make things difficult for the CMs (because they aren't supposed to allow it) and annoy the people behind you in line because you're holding everyone up.

We dined at BOG with a party of 8, preordered and just put the bill on our CC. The other individuals just gave us some cash to cover the bill or picked up our lunch tab the next day.

We had a party of 10 and I calculated each persons share in advance. we all came prepared with cash and paid together

The CM's at BOG offered to let us split the bill on our last trip as a group of 8. We didn't ask or need to split it, but we have never been asked before. It's CM-dependent for sure.

Just reporting back that there was actually an option to split the check on the computer register screen. It was super easy. We could even enter how much to apply to each payment method instead of splitting it evenly.
