We are a family of 5. I have made our ressies, but would like to change some of the times. There is availabity for 2 tables of 2 and 3. Has anyone done this and how has it worked out?

I'd like to know this too, since our trip was so last minute we've had to do the same thing for Le Cellier one night of our trip, we are a party of 6, they didn't tell me if they were splitting us 2 and 4 or 3 and 3 or what, but I was curious how this works and what the chances are of getting tables next to each other or when we get there being seated together after all.

We did this for the Fantasmic Dinner Package at Brown Derby back in November. The pickings were kind of slim for a family of 6 so the CM on the phone suggested we do 4 and 2 but both under my name. When we got there I checked both parties in and they seated us together as a party of six. Go figure.

We booked CM 7 days out and couldn't get adr's for 7, we took a 3 and a 4, when we arrived they put us at 1 table, no problem at all.

I had to split tables once, and when I was making the reservation I kind of hemmed at having 2 tables and the CM said "they won't really split you up" and sure enough we had one table. I'm assuming I needed a table for 6 and they did reservations for 4/2. So I think they have to do that for the computer sometimes, but they try not to actually split you up.

We were travelling with a large party, 13 total, they did take our reservation as one table, but when we arrived at Cape May, they asked us if they could split us between two tables. We agreed and they made sure that they put us at tables next to one another. We did have 2 different servers and 2 different checks, but we didn't mind. That was the first time that had happened to us anywhere. SO...even if you do have to be split up, you will probably end up next to one another.

I had made a ps for 8 at CRT and when we got there the hostess wanted to sit us at two different tables. It was me dh,dm,dd & ds(12),dd(8),dd(5),ds(3).I wanted to be with all my kids since this was our first time at crt.I nicely asked as he went to seat us,can't we all sit together and he said sure and sat us all together two feet away.I don't know why we were going to be seated apart in the first place. The room was half empty.Another time same trip I made a ps for Sci-Fi and she said I would need two cars and may not be together.I was ok with that.We got there 20 mins. before our (5.50)res. and waited and waited.I complained about seeing other people go in(walk-ups), now that it was after our res time. She said because they didn't sit in a car and because we needed two cars. Finally around 6:30 I complained again we were hungry and the kids were getting jumpy. Then she asked if we would fit in one car(we said yes) and we went in about 5 mins later. We all fit fine,3 kids in front,me dh and ds second row, mom and dad in back.I didn't know how big the cars were, not even thinking to try out the one in front that all the kids were playing in(duh). But I kind of assumed that maybe the ones inside were only two rows. Also at CP I was told we would be at two tables but when we got there we were seated at one same for LeCelliar.Anyway I know this was long..sorry,but always ask if you will be seated together so you know, and also if they say you will be split up chances are they may seat you together anyway. pixiedust:
