Just want to make sure I understand this....we are going in Sept and have the DDP. For QS meals - we are a family of 5 (4 Disney adults).....we could get 1 kid meal and 2 adult meals and split those 2 adult meals up between the 4 Disney adults if we wanted, right? Thanks!

Yes, QS is easy to split... the only places you absolutely can not share are buffets. We split QS a lot to conserve credits, especially for breakfast.

Splitting meals would seem ideal for my family, since my younger DD and I don't eat very much. However, it seems we may already have extra QS credits left at the end of our trip. If we split, we'll have even more. I need to think of a plan on how to best use our QS credits.

And with the new rules of being able to use your drink and dessert entitlements for any SNACK option on the menu, you could really stretch those meals if you can drink water. One other "help" for you is that, at least right now, most places also allow the kid's to get an adult QS meal. Wording on the brochure still says "kid's must order from a kid's menu where available," but they aren't enforcing it anymore. So you could get 3 adult meals to split between the 5 of you.

Excellent. Thanks guys. I will definitely make use of that, as well as the drink for a snack deal. All I, my husband and my daughter drink is water (well....and alcohol!), so I was thinking all those free drinks would be such a waste!!!

Extra QS credits are great for breakfast at the resort, or you could book a BOG breakfast reservation. At the end of your trip you can also trade any unused QS credits, for 3 snack items at your resort as well as a few other locations. This can be fun to keep the magic alive at home, or for gifts for your children's best friends etc.

We almost always split meals at QS locations! The ability to utilize this tactic and trade items out makes the plan more versatile and a much better value!!!

The trading a drink or dessert at QS, also applies to BOG, where many people are trading their drink for soup. If you traded dessert and drink for two soups, you could easily drink water and share an entree here!

Have a magical vacation!

You don't have to get a kid meal either - you can use your kid QS entitlements for adult meals. That might help stretch a bit for everyone too (a lot of places have similar items kids and adult menu - def get the adult version!)
