Splitting Dinner on DDP

If my daughter and I want to split a meal on the dining plan will they only deduct one credit from the dining plan?

im pretty sure thats what they do. the DDP gives credits for everyone on the account not individually by the card

We did that in 2007, but I will not be trying this year until June. There were 4 of us and we ordered 3 meals because it was just to much food! I paid OOP for a soup or a salad and then enjoyed part of everyone else's meal. We left an extra tip amount so it would equal what it would have been had all 4 of us ordered full meals. Make sure to check your receipt. We only had trouble at one place, Chefs de France, which charged us 4 credits instead of 3. We were able to straighten that out pretty quickly when I noticed it later. Luckily I still had the receipt from the restaurant.
