Splitting dining plan meals

For our trip in April, we are considering the dining plan. With two adult and two kids in our party (one is pying as an adult),is it possible to use share two sit down meals for the expensive dinners and keep the rest to use at other restaurants? I would like to use the plan for dinners at the better restaurants and character meals. Does this work?

Yes it does.

Most of the character meals are buffets or all-you-can-eat type of meals and cannot be split. So for those meals you will need to use 4 credits. But for ala carte type restaurants, you can split meals.
