Splitting a package with a room only reservation

We are going on the four day Disney Cruise in August of 2005. We will be staying at the Poly for six nights prior to the cruise on the Dream Maker package. I really would like to book only the first five nights on the package and then the last night as a room only reservation. Has anyone ever booked the package for the first nights, and then a room only for the night before the cruise? I don't want to pay for the passes for the day we leave on the cruise. Do they allow you to remain in the same room, or do you have to change rooms on the second reservation? Thanks for the help and info.

You can do this. There are two reservations and two deposits.

Does anyone know if you can retain the same room though? I would hate to have to move.

Request that the reservations be connected and the opposite reservation # be noted on each one. At check in, review the situation with the CM and clarify that you don't want to move. As an additional step, I'd probably check the day before the first ressie expires, to be sure that you've been assigned the same room. You do have to 'check-out/check-in' with new room keys, but it's not a big deal, if the line isn't too long.

We are doing Dream Maker + Silver for our Oct 26-3l trip. We have the Package 26-29 and room only for the 30. We will check out and then check in on the 30. When we check in on the 26 I will mention we have a room only reservation on the 30 (which should have been already been noted).Our wishes finish on the 29 but the UHP are good up to midnight of the 30.
