Did you get your free water bottles lol
Nope.
Did you get your free water bottles lol
No ramifications since they are in the same membership. When you split your contract, what are the ramifications on the booking side? Anything?
We just closed on 200 DVH direct points and I can see the long term benefit of having smaller contracts if I need to sell later, but I didn't think about that when we bought.
Since I already have a serious case of add-on-itis, I think smaller bunches might be how I handle it. Particularly since we have 3 kids we'd be leaving these to in the future. Would give them flexibility too.
Just curious what kind of hoops I'd be going through while I'm using them.

Awesome! Thanks! No ramifications since they are in the same membership.
I have actually found it to be a bit of an advantage to have multiple smaller contracts. Even at the same resortWhen you split your contract, what are the ramifications on the booking side? Anything?

I hadn't considered that. That's a good perk! Thanks!I have actually found it to be a bit of an advantage to have multiple smaller contracts. Even at the same resort
You can pick and choose if/when it uses banked borrowed points more easily.
The only thing ive noticed about splitting contracts that I really dont like is that obvi you have to choose what contract you want to use first and let's say you have holding points in contract 1 and 2 and you choose contract 1, it will use all the points in contract one before jumping to contract 2. So alloted points in 1 will get used before holding points in 2.When you split your contract, what are the ramifications on the booking side? Anything?

I wish it would take all the "bad points" of each contract first lol. This just requires extra work but totally workable and no regrets here.
For example, I had holding points in two contracts, so I booked a 2 night stay with each night seperately and used up the holding points on both contracts, then requested a merge thru chat a d problem was solved!
But it will take all points from contract 1 if you check that before contract 2 right, thats what I noticed mine doing for vdhAs long as you check all contracts with restricted points of some kind they get taken before they jump back and start with current points.

I didnt know that I must be doing something wrong, ill have to do it again next time, well hopefully I wont be in holding againIf you check 1 and 2, and 2 has holding, it will take those holding points before it takes any current points from contract 1.
Basically the system uses all holding, borrowed, and banked points from all contracts checked, before it goes back to contract 1 and uses up the current.
There is a screen right before you book that makes it seem like maybe those restricted points won’t be taken, but they are as soon as you confirm.
Interesting. I hope to never have any points stuck in holding, but you never know. The only thing ive noticed about splitting contracts that I really dont like is that obvi you have to choose what contract you want to use first and let's say you have holding points in contract 1 and 2 and you choose contract 1, it will use all the points in contract one before jumping to contract 2.
