Spliting a stay across my UY

Ok, I like to think that I'm pretty savy about DVC, given I've been a member for a fair few years now but this is one I've never come across so I'd thought I'd ask my neighbours.

I'm planning to head out to the world on Nov 28th till Dec 8th, then a 4 night cruise and back on land for the last couple of days before heading home on 13th to land in the UK on the 14th.

However my UY is December and that means that the first 2 days will be in my 2013\14 allocation and the rest in my 14\15 allocation.

So for the part before the cruise, how does this work exactly? Do I book a 2 night say, then an an 8?

And assuming I have to do it that way (seems the most logical) can I link the first two reservations or will I have to change rooms?

If you were to book online that is how it would work. You will get an error if you try and book across the UY. So you would book the first 2 nights and then the next 8. You could then send a message to MS and have them link the reservations. You also would want to verify it when you check in to make certain they don't have you changing rooms. MS might even adjust it to a single reservation when you ask them to link - you could ask at least and see if they would.

If you were able to call in to MS then they can book a single reservation across the UY but I imagine it's far easier for you to handle it all online.

On another note - I just watched and really enjoyed your video of the shuttle launch. We made it over to see STS-125 launch in May of 2009. A truly memorable experience!

I have had the same issue and wondered if MS can book all seven days when the first few days are in a different UY. Has anyone been able to get MS to do this for them if you call? I was trying to book standard view BWV studio end of September/first of Oct. for F&W. Those rooms go fast.

I am OK for this year, but wondered about what would happen if I wanted to split the stay over 2 UYs.

Yes, MS can book across the UY's.
