Split Stays and the Swolphin

How is luggage transfer handled between a Disney resort and the Swan/Dolphin when doing a split stay? Does the guest need to take care of it himself, or will it be handled behind the scenes?

Since they are not a part of the Disney resort system, you would need to transfer your own luggage.

I am doing 5 nights at the ASMusic first then going over to the Dolphin for 7. I am just going to take a cab. I will check out later if I can, and just do the cab from the ASM.
I do that even within the disney resorts, it is SO MUCH easier I think!

The Swan/Dolphin WILL transferyour luggage for you just as the Disney resorts do. I just did this over Easter. Stayed at the Swan and then had them tfer the luggage to the GF. I've done it numerous times - not ever a problem. It works the same as the Disney transfers do - if you've done that before.

So, it looks like if you're going from Swan/Dolphin to Disney, the Swan/Dolphin folks will deliver your luggage. But if you're going from Disney to Swan/Dolphin, you're on your own.

WDW~Lover -- The cab idea sounds right. It can't be that expensive, and they're going to be readily available on your schedule rather than someone else's. Good point!

I don't think so. I think Disney will transfer to the S/D. I am sure we've done it at least once over the years.
