Can you book a trip and stay at a DVC resort and The Disney Collection all on the same vacation?

We want to go next June and stay 2 nights at the GF, because the kids want to stay where mommy and daddy stayed for their honeymoon, and this is the only time I think we'll have the points to do it. And then change to SSR for 6 nights.

Can you do this? And if so, how far in advance will they let you book The Disney Collection?

Yes, you can book a trip that way. You can book the Disney Collection at 11 months.

How do you get your luggage from one hotel to the other? We will not have a car so do we have to lug it with us or do they offer a service for this? If they have a service is there a fee or just tipping involved?

Just call the bell services and tell them when you are checking out and how many bags. They will move all your bags to SSR. I have done this a few times without a problem.

Don't forget to go over to SSR in the afternoon and check in. Your bags should be waiting for you.

No charge, just tipping. It's really easy, they can even keep any items cold that need to be refrigerated!
