Split stay

I am thinking about doing a split stay- we are planning on 10/21-10/27, so 6 nights. I'd like to do a DVC rental in the MK area for the first 3 nights, and then just a regular room at an Epcot area resort for the second 3 nights. We are not really unpackers, so the moving doesn't bother me and I'd love to experience 2 resorts.

My questions is this- if I do the first half of my stay DVC (assuming I can indeed find a rental!), is there any way for me to be able to book my FP+ at the 60 day mark? I was thinking I'd book the 2nd half of my stay as a package with 3 nights and 7 day tickets, but then I'd only be able to make FP+ reservations at 60 days for the second half of the trip, right?

If I did a room only for the 2nd half of the trip, and bought 7 day tickets separately, could I link those to my DVC reservation on MDE and make FP+ reservations 60 days out for the whole trip?

i think I just confused myself further with this post, so sorry if it doesn't make sense!

Correct. If the package is the second half of your stay, you would not be able to make FP+ selections for dates prior to check-in.

If you purchase tickets separately or do the package reservation first, you should be able to make FP+ selections for the entire stay (limited to number of theme park days available on tickets).

If u buy the tickets as part of a package and that's the second part of your trip u won't be able to use the tickets for the first part of yourvtrip(they won't activate until u check in on that reservation) so split stay this way would be best to do the package with tickets at the front end if the trip and the DVC stay as the second part. Then u should be able to make FP for the entire 7 days.

Package tickets can be activated up to 10 days prior to check-in at any guest relations location. They would not be able to make FP+ selections for dates prior to check-in until the tickets were activated on-property.
