I might be interested in doing a split stay for FD one week at CBR and another at POP. How would that work with the FD plan and tickets? would I have to book 7 day tickets for each stay/ or can I book the first stay with 10 day tickets?

Disney doesn't recognize split stays, so they need to be treated as 2 separate stays. You would have to buy tickets for each stay, and each stay has to fall under the starting date of free dining. For example, stay one is November 10-15 and stay two is November 15-20. Both November 10 and November 15 would have to fall under the free dining dates. However if you stay at one resort the whole time, only November 10 would have to. Make sense?

Probably. You would have to buy 2 short sets of park passes, instead of 1 long set.

FD requires a minimum of 2 day tickets with Park Hopper or WPF&M for everyone 3 years and older in the room. You could book 10 day tickets with the first reservation and use them during both stays. For the second package you could book FD with the minimum 2 day tickets and save the tickets for a future trip since they will not expire as long as they are not used. It does get more expensive since you have to buy tickets with both packages.

For the FD offer on both stays, as the PP noted, cheapest thing to do would be to buy the 10-day park pass with your first stay and a 2-day pass on your second stay and save that shorter ticket if you don't need to use it. You may want to keep an eye out for fall discounts as it may be cheaper for you to do FD with your first stay and do a room-only (hopefully with a discount) with paid dining added if you want a dining package. This is called a ticketless package. Or just do a room-only discount and pay OOP for your second week of dining.

Well both my dates would fall between free dining in the above question but free dining would be cheaper since we only paid 19.00 to upgrade to the Disney Dining Plan pp/day.

Now for another scenario.....I may have to change my trip to come home a week earlier  and since I have been saving for years to come back to Disney with a two week trip, I don't want to lose time.

Does anyone know the best way to do two reservations (both at POP) back to back with free dining on the last end of the trip?

August 8-15th at POP, and Aug 15-23/24th For Free Dining at POP upgraded to Disney Dining Plan?

Would this work the same as above with tickets? :thanks:

I also don't mind doing QS DP one part of my trip. I'm assuming it would be cheaper to do QS on the first part of my trip?

Just because you have to buy two sets of tickets, it doesn't mean you have to USE both sets on this trip. Buy longer tickets on the first part, buy the minimum on the second, and save them for the future.

You can buy tickets with each, use the first, and then just save the second set for the future.

For canadians it starts on Aug 15th.

Awesome! bumbershoot is right on. Get the longer tickets for the first week, minimum number for second week. I see you are going for quite a long time. You may want to consider an AP or a longer length of ticket + water parks and more for the first reservation as both of those will offer more days of park/entertainment use. Not sure how many park days you hope to have, but it's just a thought.

I am not sure I am able to travel those dates now but will know very soon....Pixie dust that I can during free dining dates... pixiedust:

I had considered buying APs so that we can have more time in the parks, and to use on a future trip since Free Dining dates might not work for us anymore. Which is really sad news... Free Dining is the best discount to enable us to stay for two weeks.

What kind of discounts do APs get you? If it would make a trip next summer much cheaper, it might be worth it. How much would it be to upgrade to APs and when would I do it? My DS is an adult also. I have tried to price out a trip with APs but I don't have one yet.

Sorry for all the questions.
