I typically shy away from doing split-stays, but sometimes it is unavoidable. For those of you that do split stays without a rental car, what do you find to be the most convenient way to move from resort to resort? Ive only done this once, and it was moving from VWL to BLT. Bell services took care of the luggage and brought it up to the new room at BLT. We simply hopped the boat from WL to CR, checked in, made our way to the new room, and shortly after, bell services arrived with our luggage. Easy peasy.
On our upcoming trip to VWL, in order to take advantage of a fantastic flight deal, I decided to add one more day onto the front end of our stay, but the only resort available was SSR. I suppose we could have bell services transfer our luggage to VWL, take the boat from SSR to DTD, and then hop a bus to VWL, but Im wondering if there is an easier way.
I often see Disney vans that hop from resort to resort, and it looks like they often around guests. Is it possible to setup a complimentary ride from SSR to VWL, or are we on our own for getting from SSR to VWL? If this is possible, do I need to make these arrangements well in advance, or is this something that can be done same-day with a quick call to the front desk?
Thanks in advance for the insight.
