Hi! I have a newbie question- When you split your stay between resorts, how does it logistically work out? Do you get a cab? Does Disney have a transfer service?
Thank-you!

Oh....that's great! Do you have to keep checking in everywhere you go? Or is it streamlined somehow?

As an example: You're at Pop and want to go to Poly. You would have bell services pick up your luggage at Pop and tell them to transfer it to Poly. Then, you would go to Poly in any manner you choose and check in as usual. The luggage would arrive later.

The disadvantage of changing resorts is that you may not get a room immediately at checkin.

I have never done this, but I was looking at moving from VWL to BCV or BWV and when I asked MS, they said it is not true. It depends on each resort, staff, schedule, ect. They make every attempt to move your luggage but can not guarantee your stuff will get moved. It is up to the resort. They also told me that the front desk does not store cold groceries for you. But I saw on one of the boards that Wegoshop delivers to bell services and they store it for you, including cold items. Not sure if the MS rep was right, or if he knew what he was talking about, but it made me decide not to move. I would call the resorts your are moving from and to and ask the front desk myself. Not sure which resort does the move.

I hope it does work. I could absolutely see sending the luggage to the valet, heading out for a day of fun in the parks, and then just checking in somewhere new later in the day. It just adds to the adventure!!:woohoo: I'm personally not worried about storing food, i don't cook on vacation (because I cook a LOT the rest of the time), but that is a good point. Has anyone had experience with this? It looks like alot of people split their trips between resorts, so what do you think?
Thanks,
Ellen

WE SOMETIMES STAY AT THE MODS FOR THE WEEKEND AND MOVE TO DVC FOR THE WEEKDAYS. We never had to move our own bags. Bell services will do it for you as long as it's a Disney resort.

I know ( some have had disney move bags to the S/D also) but don't count on it all the time.

I'm sorry, I'm new at this- what's the s/d?
Thanks!

That would be the Swan and Dolphin hotels located near the Boardwalk Villas. They are not Disney owned resorts but are Starwood Resort Hotels. Disney Resorts bell services will not move luggage to those two resorts.

Hey guys,

I am actually doig a split stay later this week between POP and SSR. One night at POP and the rest at SSR. When I go to check into SSR will I be able to store our carry on's there so we can enjoy the day at the parks and pick them up later?

I think the CM you spoke to was in error. I have many many times and at nearly alomost all the resorts moved luggage. Even during the busiest of times.

I would worry about it. Your luggae will get moved.:thumbsup2
