Split Stay Tix Pick up Question

We finalized a split stay with our first 2 nights at the GF followed by the CR with FD. We are checking in at the GF on Sunday and CR on Tuesday. We would like to check in to the GF and then immediately head to AK to ride EE (my DD fav). Is there a guest relations window at AK where we can pick up our tix or do we need to go to MK guest relations first to get the tix? Has a CM at guest relations ever not been willing/able to give the tix? I am just worried they will tell me they can't give me the tix before the package starts. Not sure what I would say. Also does anyone know if the Flame Tree BBQ stays open until the park closes?
Thanks

We did this on our trip in December 2010 :). We stayed 2 nights room only at AKL before checking into the GF for our package. After checking into AKL, we headed to AK, where we went to guest services and requested early ticket pick up. It didn't take the CM long at all as we were inside AK within 10 minutes :thumbsup2. I was only asked for a photo ID, but others have reported needing their package confirmation number, so I would have that with you just in case. Have a great trip :goodvibes.

The concierge desk at AoA gave me park tickets early. I thought I would need to get them at the park but it wasn't necessary. You can get your tickets 3 days before your package starts.

The Ticket Sticky, "Everything About WDW Tickets," explains what to do in Post #15-I, Picking up Package Tickets Prior To Start Of Package. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1452684

AK does have a Guest Relations outlet, on the left, outside the gate. There should be no issues with picking up your package tickets there. Make sure to have your reservation info with you.

Your question about being turned away is asked frequently. There hasn't been a post here about not being able to get your package tickets early, as long as the guidelines are followed as written in the Ticket Sticky. Just a note to say, you will not be able to get your dining credits early, just tickets.

I'm not sure how late Flame Tree stays open. However, it's centrally located on Discovery Island. If you're going by earlier, perhaps you could spot the operating hours on a sign out front.

Thanks for the reassurance on this. So are you saying that it is possible that I could get the tix from GF concierge for my CR FD package?

Ask about it, at the check in desk. They will either help you themselves or hook you up with a concierge. If it's an issue because your package is at a different resort, they will let you know. But it will only take a minute of your time to find out.

It is possible. And it never hurts to ask. Your Concierge CM might be savvy enough to know what to do, or might not. I think that's why it's generally recommended to go thru Guest Relations, whose CMs are more specially trained in ticketing transactions. The guests I have read about on these threads, who posted they got their tickets thru their Concierge desk, had 2 reservations at the same resort, e.g. 2 days room only, then FD stay. Not sure what PP's circumstances were (above).

Mine were exactly as poohsie described, not switching resorts. Which is why I'm not sure how they would handle your situation.

Hi, again, jenjie. I think when early ticket pickup involves 2 reservations at 2 separate resorts, one resort doesn't wish to get involved with another resort's guest reservation. This is good business practice, since each resort is a separate operation and each would prefer to handle its own reservations exclusively. But that's just my impression as to why visitors are asked to do early ticket pick-up thru Guest Relations, not their resort.

Thanks for your help! I will head over to AK and pick up the tix and hopefully get some rides on EE before the park closes.
