Split stay Ticket Question

We're going to WDW this month and have several connecting reservations. We have a room only reservation from the 11th-14th, then a Free dining one from the 14th to the 19th. Now our tickets and meal are on the second reservation of course.

I know I can only use the meals during that time period but I would like to use the tickets once I get there on the 11th.

Someone told me I could do this if I checked in to both reservations on-line.

If this true? If not, is there a way to use the tickets early?

Checking in online will not activate your tickets. In fact, if you tried to make FP+ reservations online, you'll notice that you couldn't make them for dates that are prior to 8/14. That's because your tickets won't be "valid" until the day that you are due to arrive for your second reservation.

To get around this, you would need to go to guest relations outside of the first park that you want to visit and ask them to activate your package tickets early.

You can activate your park tickets up to 10 days in advance at Guest Relations outside a park or at Disney Springs, but you will not be able to make FP+ reservations for the 11th - 13th until you activate your tickets.

Thank you for the information. Can they activate the tickets off my magic band or will I need to get hard copies from the hotel to bring over to the park and get them activated?
