Split Stay Space 220 Question..

I have a “Sister’s Trip” booked in mid-September for 7 days. It’s a package at the Swan booked thru Disney.

I am thinking of adding on a couple of days to the end of the trip (probably at a different on-site resort and not a package) to do EP and HS with my son.

Would I be able to make a reservation for Space 220 on the checkout day of my “Sister’s trip” for me and my son or would that be the start of the split stay reservations?

I know with a split stay you have two different dates for ADRs, but was wondering if I could make reservations for two on check-out day of the first part of my trip for this hard to get ressie.

I was just thinking if this might be possible since you are considered a guest til midnight on checkout day.

Me and my sister would not have tickets to a park this day. I would get tickets for DS and me separately for the split stay.

I hope this question makes sense- I haven’t had my morning coffee yet.

You can make ADR'S 60 days prior to your check-in day. If you have a split stay, your ADR window begins 60 days prior to the 1st check-in day and then 60 days prior to the 2nd check-in day.

For the 1st resort reservation, you can make ADR'S through the end of day for your 1st check out day.

And hopefully can get on GotG as well.
These are both new to us.
Sister’s trip won’t have any coasters at all so this should be a fun day with DS.
