I have our first DVC trip coming up in October with a split stay at CCV and AKV. When we transfer between the two resorts do they still transfer our bags for us? Also, what happens if we have food from the fridge that needs to be transferred too? Thanks for your help!

Yes, Bell Services is still transferring luggage between resorts. If you have cold or frozen items, they need to be bagged (and labeled) separately. Bell Services can keep them cold/frozen at the resorts, but not during the actual transfer.

I hope it’s okay to piggy back on your thread…I have another split stay question. We are spending a few days at beach club and then a few at copper creek. When I book dining will it only show my beach club days at 60 day mark and then wait a few days for copper creek reservation to be in the 60 day window. Or will the system recognize it was 1 stay? Can I call member services so it’s recognized as 1 family/1 large stay?
Thank you so much in advance!

For dining reservations, two separate booking windows. MS used to be able to override it, but they no longer can.

I was wondering the same thing. Thanks for asking.

I see this is an old post but wanted to share my experience. We called bell services for a luggage transfer from SSR to BWV and they were upfront telling us they will not take refrigerated groceries- it is too much to keep track of during the storage and transit process. They did assist with non perishable groceries for us.
Hope this is helpful!

When was this? They moved my refrigerated stuff on July 17th From RIV to VGF.

My daughter told me the same thing.....I think she saw an update somewhere a few days ago. They will only transport refrigerated stuff if it is in a hard sided color with ice. I’ll try to find out where she read about it.

The first report was this past Saturday, 7/24/21. So it seems to be a very recent change of policy. I can definitely understand it, though, because it must be tricky to maintain proper temperature of refrigerated or frozen items while they're in transit between resorts, and they may not want to be responsible anymore for someone's insulin, for instance.

Especially if the vans have to sit in the hot sun as they make their rounds. I doubt the vehicles used for that are temperature controlled.
