Back story: Both kids going on marching band trip to Disney from May 30th to June 3rd. We decided to take them down early, May 26th to tack on family trip to the beginning of their trip with school. This is our 3rd and most likely last trip as a family. Each visit I try to make it different. We are renting a car this time and want to do things off property. Want to do Universal and maybe Sea World.

We now have a 1br BCV for the week. Not DVC members.

Instead, should we get a hotel on Universal property for Sat-Mon, get the fast passes associated with them and be able to skip lines etc. Then Tuesday move to BCV for rest of trip?

How much of a pain is it to move hotels during your stay?
Any advise is helpful...thanks.

If you notice my ticker you will see that we will be moving around a lot this trip. We will be in Orlando 16 days, and this is our 5th trip in 2 years. I'll be honest I don't like the moving, but the thought of spending 10+ days at one Disney resort just seemed to boring. I would never recommend 3 resorts to someone making there first trip, but we have been there a lot and I don't think we will be spending that much time in the parks.

As far as Universal goes I would do it. The Universal resorts are on par if not better than Disney's deluxe resorts. The express passes are well worth it. If you have a car it should be easy. I could never go to Universal and not stay onsite. I love the atmosphere there as much as Disney. I would do the split stay.
