Split Stay Question

I am thinking of doing a split stay at the Beach Club and the Grand Floridian. If I do 2 nights at the BC and 5 nights at GF with a 5 day park pass can I start using the park pass while staying at the BC or will it be linked only to the GF reservation? Any information that you can provide me is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Are you buying the tickets through Disney? If you are, just buy them when you get there. Even if you buy them online, they wont stop you from using them "too soon". The only date that really matters is the expiration date

If you wait to buy tickets when you get there, no FP in advance for you.

If you don't want something like a dining plan, I'd suggest booking these two reservations as room only (NOT packages) and just buying the length of park pass you want. If the second reservation MUST be a package, you are supposed to be able to pick up package tickets at Guest Services up to 3 days before the package starts. (Keep in mind that if you call WDW they will tell you that you can't do this, but reports are that so far, you can.) But you can't do that until you get there, and you won't be able to make advance FP for the days not covered by the package ticket.

Actually, you can now do it 10 days in advance, and what you're really doing is activating the tickets rather than picking them up, since with Magic Bands, you don't get physical tickets anymore.
