Split Stay Question

We are planning a split stay...3 nights at AKL followed by 5 nights at Poly. My question is regarding our park tickets. I plan on getting a 8 day park hopper with my AKL ressie and a 1 day regular ticket with my Poly stay. (I have to do this in order to have DDP with both stays) Can I transfer my leftover days from my AKL card to my Poly card when I check in or do I have to carry two cards around...the AKL one with the parkhopper leftovers and my Poly one with my DDP on it??
