Been thinking these past few days and would you...

1.) 7 night stay at Poly in 2 studios = 236 points

2.) 2 night stay at AKL Jambo (in 1 studio) & then move to Poly for 5 nights (2 separate studios) = 186 points and save *50 points*

3.) 3 night stay at AKL Jambo (in 1 studio) & then move to Poly for 5 nights (2 separate studios) = 197 points and save *39 points*

It is (4) of us. 3 adults 1 teenager and our travel window is for December for the holidays.

PS: I've been tracking availability at AKL for a few days now, looks alright...so far, it could all change of course.

Thoughts?

The Jambo studio has a double sleeper sofa for the second bed. It at least has 2 sinks in the bathroom area but I'd not love an adult and teenager on the sleeper.

Jambo 1BR - sure!

I'd go with 7 nights at the Poly - for comfort and convenience. There are so many Holiday activities in December that I just wouldn't want to mess with moving and would "save" points another time to avoid moving on this trip.

I agree with Carol. We've done 2 split stays and regretted it both times. With the amount of time lost between packing and unpacking at two different places and being "homeless" for an uncertain number of hours it just isn't worth it for us. However, we also have young children so YMMV.

I really don't mind split stays, but I would mind being crammed into a studio with three adults and a teenager.
