Split stay - moving car

Looking for some input on a 2 night split stay.

We will sleep at SSR the first night, then have a full MK day. That night we will sleep at BWV then spend the next day at Epcot before we depart after dinner.

We will have our car.

On our MK day would you:

1. Drive the car from SSR to MK at rope drop so we have it with us and just drive to BWV when we leave the park?

OR

2. Drive to BWV first thing in the morning before rope drop, park because we are checking in that day, then bus to MK.

I usually avoid parking at the TTC for MK (on most trips we usually rely on Disney transportation on MK days) but I think that’s our best option with this split stay. Option 2 seems very time consuming with driving to BWV, parking, waiting for a bus. Would it be hard to get a Minnie Van from the Boardwalk before MK rope drop (we have 2 toddlers who need car seats so Uber isn’t an easy option.)

Anyone else have any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks!

I'd do option 2. Time consuming but so would the alternative.

I'd go with the first option. Driving to the BoardWalk that early in the morning, only to then wait for a bus seems like an unnecessarily slow process. The most direct route is to head straight to the Magic Kingdom.

I'd go with option 1. We stayed offsite this trip so we drove to MK, and the TTC wasn't an issue at all arriving around 7:45 in the morning. We parked in the second row both days and it wasn't a long walk to the boat.

I don't love dealing with the TTC either, but I think the inconvenience is often overstated. It's not ideal by any stretch of the imagination, but it's not as if it adds an extra hour onto the journey. I have zero doubt the original poster would be wasting more time driving to the other hotel and waiting for a bus.

I vote option 1. Get the most out of your MK day. Don't tire everyone out before you even get to the park driving all around.

The TTC isn't the most convenient option, but it's much more convenient than driving to BWV, and catching a bus or Minnie Van go get back.

Plus, kids really like the TTC. Whether you take the ferry or the monorail, kids get a kick out of arriving at Disney in an out-of-the-ordinary way. There's something magical about viewing MK in the distance and seeing it get closer and closer as you approach from the monorail or the lake.

I would drive to the Contemporary and pay for valet parking and walk to MK and then back to Contemporary after.
